ABSTRACT The current study investigated the cognitive and affective factors driving employees’ pro‐environmental behaviors (PEBs) in organizations to address a critical gap sustainability research. Specifically, roles of anticipated guilt, subjective norms (SNs), warm glow effect shaping future green were examined through partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS‐SEM). findings demonstrated that guilt was strongest predictor PEBs, followed by SNs. also revealed partially mediate relationship between which offered alternative insights into long‐term practices. Resultantly, contributed theory planned behavior provided practical implications for seeking foster continuous environmental commitment while advancing understanding psychological mechanisms underlying sustained workplace PEBs.

Purpose This study employs the norm activation model (NAM) and elaboration likelihood (ELM) to investigate drivers of consumers’ buying intent (BUI) for eco-friendly products (EFP). The primary emphasis is on eco-consciousness, which includes environmental literacy (ENL) concern (ENC). research further examines mediating role ENC in relationship between ENL BUI while also considering sequential mediation effects involving both eco-responsible practices (ERP). Additionally, explores moderating influence attitude (ATT) ERP its effect BUI. Design/methodology/approach Employing purposive sampling, 412 online survey responses were statistically analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Findings findings this demonstrate that exerts a significant positive ENC, subsequently enhancing Moreover, there indicates positively mediates sequentially mediate relationships Furthermore, results suggest strength association marginally decreases (trivial), (small). Originality/value advances existing body knowledge by integrating NAM ELM examine toward EFP thoroughly. offers novel insights into their BUI, underscoring eco-consciousness. have practical implications businesses policymakers who seek formulate strategies align with psychological, cognitive, behavioural processes context Sustainable Development Goal 12 (SDG12), can contribute global effort foster more sustainable future.

This offers insights management, aiding understanding mitigating employee behavior. It also bolsters creation efficacious environmental practices policies serves as resource future preservation governance research.

Abstract The current research investigates the complex interplay between artificial intelligence (AI)-induced job insecurity, psychological contract breach (PCB), pro-environmental behavior at work (PEBW), and ethical leadership in context of organizational sustainability. As AI technologies increasingly permeate workplace, understanding their impact on employee attitudes behaviors becomes crucial for maintaining effectiveness environmental responsibility. Drawing several theories, we developed tested a moderated mediation model using three-wave time-lagged design with 391 employees from various South Korean corporations. Our findings reveal that AI-induced insecurity does not directly affect PEBW, but rather operates through mediating mechanism PCB. Specifically, positively influences PCB, which turn negatively affects PEBW. Moreover, emerges as significant moderator, mitigating positive association This study uniquely contributes to literature by integrating into sustainability framework, offering novel insights how technological advancements influence behaviors. extend Context-Attitudes-Behavior framework digital age, bridging gap disruption research. These results provide practical implications organizations striving balance innovation well-being responsibility, strategies amidst uncertainties. paper growing offers navigating challenges advancement while promoting
