ABSTRACT
This
study
examines
Nigeria's
ecological
footprint,
addressing
a
significant
gap
in
comprehensive
research
on
how
poverty,
public‐private
partnerships
(PPPs),
GDP
(economic
growth),
and
renewable
energy
use
impact
environment.
Using
data
from
1990
to
2023,
the
analysis
explores
relationship
between
these
economic
indicators
footprint.
The
Autoregressive
Distributed
Lag
(ARDL)
model,
with
FMOLS,
DOLS,
CCR
robustness
tests,
were
employed
ensure
reliability.
Key
findings
ARDL
approach
indicate
that:
(i)
Poverty
increase
footprint;
(ii)
PPPs
eventually
lessen
(iii)
reduces
short‐term
imprint.

The moderating effect of family firms on the relationship between business sustainability and capital structure

Purpose
This
paper
investigates
the
relationship
between
business
sustainability
and
capital
structure,
specifically
focusing
on
moderating
role
of
family
firms.
Design/methodology/approach

sample
Portuguese-listed
firms
Euronext
Lisbon
from
2010
to
2022,
generalized
method
moments
(GMM)
estimation
was
applied

endogeneity

that

Is carbon trading working for construction companies green development ? Evidence from listed Chinese companies

This
study
investigates
the
impact
of
China’s
carbon
emission
trading
(CET)
framework
on
green
development
construction
sector,
a
topic
that
has
been
underexplored.
Utilizing
annual
data
from
107
publicly
listed
companies
2007
to
2022,
we
apply
total
factor
productivity
(GTFP)
as
metric
for
development.
Our
findings
reveal
GTFP
increased
by
0.36
during
this
period.
Using
Difference-in-Differences
(DID)
methodology,
account
factors
such
market
dimensions,
ownership
structure,
financial
stability,
geographical
location,
and
state
aid.
The
interaction
term
coefficient
in
our
model
is
0.0089,
significant
at
1%
level,
indicating
CET
implementation
significantly
improved
enterprises.
Heterogeneity
analysis
further
shows
CET’s
more
pronounced
large-scale,
state-owned,
highly
indebted
enterprises,
those
located
eastern
region,
receiving
government
subsidies,
with
coefficients
0.112,

respectively,
all
level.

results
underscore
