Lung cancer remains a major global health challenge and one of the leading causes cancer-related deaths worldwide. Despite significant advancements in treatment, challenges such as drug resistance, side effects, metastasis recurrence continue to impact patient outcomes quality life. In response, there is growing interest complementary integrative approaches care. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), with its long history, abundant clinical experience, holistic perspective individualized approach, has garnered increasing attention for role lung prevention management. This review provides comprehensive overview advances TCM covering theoretical foundation, treatment principles, experiences evidence supporting efficacy. We also provide systematic summary preclinical mechanisms, through which impacts cancer, including induction cell death, reversal inhibition modulation immune responses. Additionally, future prospects are discussed, offering insights into expanded application integration modern address this challenging disease.

In order to improve the effectiveness of tumor treatment and reduce toxic side effects drugs, we formed carrier-free multifunctional nanoparticles (BI NPs) by noncovalent interaction berberine hydrochloride IR780. BI NPs possessed synergistic promoting apoptosis, inhibiting proliferation metastasis tumors, phototherapeutic treatment. Dispersive passive targeting ability retention (EPR) on sites in vivo could be monitored fluorescence imaging. addition, exhibited effective reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation photothermal conversion capabilities, photodynamic therapy (PDT), (PTT). Importantly, inhibit suppression through AMPK/PI3K/AKT signaling pathway metastasis. not only have efficient multimodal therapeutic but also good biosafety potential clinical applications.

New therapeutic approaches that antagonize tumour-promoting phenotypes in lung cancer are needed to improve patient outcomes. Chromosomal instability (CIN) is a hallmark of characterized by the ongoing acquisition genetic alterations include gain and loss whole chromosomes or segments as well chromosomal rearrangements during cell division. Although it provides diversity fuels tumour evolution enables aggressive like immune evasion, metastasis, drug resistance, too much CIN can be lethal because creates imbalances disrupt essential genes induce severe proteotoxic metabolic stress. As such, sustaining advantageous levels compatible with survival fine balance cells, potentiating exceed tolerable threshold promising treatment strategy for inherently unstable tumours cancer. Kinesins superfamily motor proteins many members having functions mitosis critical correct segregation and, consequently, maintaining genomic integrity. Accordingly, inhibition such kinesins has been shown exacerbate CIN. Therefore, inhibiting mitotic represents amplifying vulnerable cells. In this review, we describe concept vulnerability comprehensively summarize studies reporting clinical functional relevance cancer, goal outlining how kinesin inhibition, "targeting kinesins", holds great potential an effective treating

ABSTRACT Berberine, an isoquinoline alkaloid derived from various medicinal plants, emerges as a potential therapeutic agent against diverse human diseases. It has particularly shown notable anticancer efficacy breast, colorectal, lung, prostate, and liver cancer. Berberine results in inhibition of cancer cell proliferation, induction apoptosis, suppressing angiogenesis, positioning it versatile, multitargeted tool Notably, berberine enhances the effectiveness conventional chemotherapeutic drugs, mitigating associated drug resistance. Mechanistically, been to exert its by targeting molecules like nuclear factor‐kappa B (NF‐κB), mitogen‐activated protein kinases (MAPKs), phosphoinositide 3‐kinase (PI3K)/Akt, thereby inhibiting survival pathways promoting apoptosis cells. Moreover, influences expression tumor suppressor genes, curtails migration invasion, modulates tumour microenvironment. Despite promising preclinical evidence, further research is essential comprehensively elucidate mechanisms action evaluate safety clinical settings. In present review, we have highlighted pharmacokinetics, biosynthesis, recent work done pertaining berberine's strong activity. We also emphasised on being nanoformulations berberine, which aim improve stability bioavailability.
