Tea polyphenols (TPs) are the most important active component of tea and have become a research focus among natural products, thanks to their antioxidant, lipid-lowering, liver-protecting, anti-tumor, other biological activities. Polyphenols can interact with food components, such as protein, polysaccharides, lipids, metal ions further improve texture, flavor, sensory quality food, widely used in fields, preservatives, antibacterial agents packaging. However, instability TPs under conditions light or heat low bioavailability gastrointestinal environment also hinder application food. In this review, we summarized health benefits TPs. order better use analyzed form mechanism interaction between main polysaccharides proteins. Moreover, reviewed into optimizing applications by bio-based delivery systems, liposomes, nanoemulsions, nanoparticles, so stability bioactivity application. As an effective ingredient, great potential be applied functional produce for human health.

Gut microbiota comprises the microbial communities inhabiting our gastrointestinal (GI) tracts. Accordingly, these complex play a fundamental role in many host processes and are closely implicated human health diseases. Sleep deprivation (SD) has become increasingly common modern society, partly owing to rising pressure of work diversification entertainment. It is well documented that sleep loss significant cause various adverse outcomes on including immune-related metabolic Furthermore, accumulating evidence suggests gut dysbiosis associated with SD-induced In this review, we summarize caused by SD succedent diseases ranging from immune system organs highlight critical roles The implications possible strategies alleviate SD-related also provided.

The favorable inhibitory effect of tea polyphenols on heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAAs) has been confirmed in many past studies. objective this study was to investigate the structure-activity relationship catechins that act as inhibitors HAA formation chemical models. Two kinds quantitative models for catechin-inhibiting-HAA were established. We chose two HAAs including 2-amino-1-methyl-6-phenylimidazo[4,5-b]pyridine (PhIP) and 2-amino-3,8-dimethylimidazo[4,5-f]quinoxaline (MeIQx), five epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), epicatechin (ECG), (EGC), (EC), catechin (C). following order: EGCG > ECG EGC C EC. Thereinto, showed dramatically better inhibition PhIP MeIQx, especially EGCG. Further, mechanisms speculated by correlation analysis. free radical-scavenging ability predicted be most relevant ECG, EGC, EC HAAs. Differently, phenylacetaldehyde-trapping might more important mechanism inhibiting model system. This may bring a broader idea controlling according structure catechins.

ABSTRACT This study aims to investigate the role of hazelnut leaf polyphenols (HLP) in regulating chronic alcoholic liver damage (CALD) and explore its possible molecular mechanisms. By measuring scavenging rates DPPH·, ABTS + , ·OH, as well reducing power total antioxidant capacity, activity HLP was evaluated. Both vivo vitro experiments were conducted examine effects on CALD. The results showed that exhibits strong within a certain concentration range, can regulate ethanol‐induced oxidative stress levels LO2 cells. Additionally, improves function by modulating Nrf2/Keap1 pathway, ALT AST mice, correcting body's redox imbalance. protective effect helps shield from damage, revealing possess potent properties significantly improve

Quercetin, a dietary flavonol enriched in food, regulates immune-related models through epigenetic modifications. However, few studies have explored the transmission of regulatory effects across generations to progeny. Here, we selected Escherichia coli, conditional pathogen capable causing gastrointestinal infections or various localized tissue and organ under specific conditions, as pathogenic strain infect mice. We provide evidence that quercetin can not only induce responsiveness changes against systemic E. coli infection directly exposed organisms, but also subsequent transgenerational inheritance traits. Both parental male mice their progeny exhibited cellular phenotypic associated with metabolic alterations. Surprisingly, female treated (200 mg/kg) for six weeks negatively enhanced survival rate (1 × 108 CFU/mL) infection, concurrent an increase bacterial loads liver spleen. Serum TNF-α IL-1β levels significantly increased post-infection Our results first immunity driven by mammals attenuation protection infection.

(-)-Epicatechin (EC) is a commonly dietary phytochemical that presents multi-physiological activities on human health. Thermal processing common method to extract EC, albeit likely degrade EC considering its thermal instability. In this study, an 85-min non-durable bathing incubation assay was designed simulate the state of in boiling water while cooking. Monitoring degradation products performed using ultra-performance liquid chromatography combined with electrospray ionization quadrupole tandem mass spectrometric detection (UPLC-ESI-TSQ-MS/MS). The results revealed ca. 65.2 % loss detected first 10 min, and over 99.5 degraded within 30 min. A total 22 were identified based retention time, full MS data be comprehensively reported. Isomerization, oxidation, hydroxylation, dimerization, ring cleavage main chemical reactions occurred for aqueous solution.

This study examined the impact of tea polyphenols (TPs) on intestinal flora loaches (Paramisgurnus dabryanus) under chronic ammonia nitrogen stress using high-throughput sequencing. Two groups 600 were studied over one month, and they separated into a control group polyphenol group. Alpha beta diversity analyses showed diverse bacterial communities, with significant differences in abundance uniformity observed initially but not between sampling time points. Cluster revealed distinct microbial communities groups. A predictive function analysis indicated enrichment pathways related to amino acid nucleotide biosynthesis. These findings offer initial insights how may affect stress.
