Sleep problems are important public health concern worldwide. We carried out a meta-analysis to quantitatively evaluate whether sleep duration was associated with pregnancy outcomes, and the associations were modified by characteristics of studies.Based on PubMed, Embase Cochrane Central Register Controlled Trials databases, we searched for published literature related maternal adverse outcomes before 30 June 2021. risk bias assessment, subgroup analyses sensitivity analysis. The oxidative balance score (OBS) serves as a comprehensive measure of exposures related to stress, considering both dietary antioxidants and lifestyle exposures. There is no evidence regarding the relation between OBS postpartum depression (PPD). In this study, we aimed determine relationship during pregnancy PPD. cohort 243 Iranian pregnant women were recruited using convenience sampling method from 2022 2023. Dietary intakes obtained validated food frequency questionnaire. was separately constructed based on nutrients/lifestyle (NLOBS) groups/lifestyle (FLOBS) according previously proposed methods. PPD diagnosed 4 6 weeks after delivery Edinburgh Postpartum Depression Scale. Cox proportional hazards regression utilized examine Participants had mean (SD) age 30.9 ± 6.12 years. total, 43 females with Findings revealed that, controlling all confounders, subjects highest level NLOBS, compared lowest, 69% lower risk (HR: 0.31; 95% CI: 0.12–0.83). Although significant inverse found FLOBS in crude model 0.43; 0.19–0.96); association not fully adjusted 0.53; 0.22–1.27). Considering subtypes each score, relations for NOBS LOBS, but FOBS. This study suggests that higher OBS, particularly nutrient-based may be associated reduced Further research necessary validate these findings.

Abstract Introduction Globally, sleep disturbance is the foremost public health issue among pregnant women which might have undesirable birth outcome including neurocognitive impairment, preterm birth, low weight, and neonatal morbidity mortality. In Ethiopia, inconsistent findings been reported on prevalence of women. Therefore, this review aims to estimate pooled its associated factors in Ethiopia. Methods This systematic meta-analysis observational studies was designed according PRISMA guideline. A search literature conducted PubMed, Scopus, Web science, Google Scholar using relevant searching key terms. The Newcastle-Ottawa scale used evaluate quality all selected articles. Data were analyzed STATA Version 14 software. Publication bias checked Egger’s test funnel plot. Cochran’s chi-squared I 2 values assess heterogeneity. fixed-effects model applied during meta-analysis. Results review, six included after reviewing 17,100 Ethiopia 50.43% (95%CI: 39.34–61.52). Third trimester pregnancy AOR = 4.03; 95% CI: 2.84,5.71), multigravidity (AOR 1.99; 1.54, 2.59), unplanned 2.56; 1.52,4.31), depression 3.57; 2.04, 6.27), stress 2.77; 1.57, 4.88), anxiety 3.69; 1.42, 9.59) poor hygiene 2.49; 1.56, 3.99) statistically with Conclusion revealed that magnitude woman relatively high multiple determined likelihood having a disturbed sleep-awake pattern. Thus, implementation interventions for screening needed. Moreover, targeted prevention unintended should be implemented.

To estimate the prevalence and assess strength of associations between antenatal depressive symptoms selected possible predictive factors among women attending care for first time at Child Health Centre.Evidence suggests that depression is a health problem as prevalent postpartum depression. The Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale was used outcome measure. Prevalence estimated, backward stepwise logistic regression analysis performed to examine with somatic, psychiatric social factors. STROBE checklist followed.Prevalence this 17.9%. Women reporting not sleeping enough had significantly higher odds having symptoms. Pregnant high relationship satisfaction less likely have Neither maternal age, education, previous depression, coming from non-Nordic country nor complications during statistically associated symptoms.High also be present low-risk populations. Major depressive disorder (MDD) is a complex mood disorder. While much progress has been made in understanding the pathophysiology of MDD, no single mechanism can explain all facets this Several studies show that disturbances biological rhythms lead to development MDD. Indeed, insomnia or hypersomnia are symptoms included MDD diagnostic criteria. Clinical and meta-analyses showed strong relationship between sleep disorders. Sleep associated with activation hypothalamicpituitary- adrenal (HPA) axis inflammation. The increase inflammatory response activate kynurenine pathway, decrease serotonin synthesis, affect other factors involved neuropsychiatric conditions. Moreover, disorders change gut microbiota alter microbiota-gut-brain axis. Thus, review discusses circadian rhythms, disorders, describing potential pathophysiological shared these In addition, therapeutic opportunities based on antiinflammatory, antioxidant, HPA regulatory, synapse-modulating actions raised. For article search, we used PubMed database. Both changes have bidirectional Although some mechanisms, including inflammation, microbiota, decreased neuroplasticity, may be sleep, mechanisms not yet well understood. Therapeutic anti-inflammatory, regulatory axis, synapse modulating appear promising targets preventing rhythm disturbances,
