A study on foliar epidermis was conducted nine species belonging to the Moraceae family investigate diverse micromorphological characteristics that hold taxonomic importance in leaf epidermis.Based LM (light microscopy) and SEM (scanning electron microscopy), it found shape of epidermal cells studied members is rectangular, irregular, polygonal, pentagonal both surfaces.The common polygonal most species.The size cell length width varies from wall thick species, except Broussonetia papyrifera (L.) Abstract The present study was carried out to identify the 20 medicinally important species of family Euphorbiaceae by aid scanning electron microscopy (SEM) foliar anatomical characteristics. Both qualitative and quantitative measurements for characters like epidermal cells, stomata, trichomes, subsidiary cells on both abaxial(ab) adaxial(ad) epidermis were recorded. Remarkable variations in these features had been observed among studied species. Most irregular or polygonal shape, only five hexagonal that is, Euphorbia neriifolia L., prostate Aiton, Jatropha integerrima Jacq., Vernicia fordii (Hemsl.), royleana Boiss. Stomata abundant abaxial as compared adaxial epidermis. E. pulcherrima Willd. Ex Klotzsch Phyllanthus emblica L. possessed anomocytic helioscopia cotinifolia Ricinus communis anisocytic while rest paracytic stomata. Trichomes very few including hirta Klotzsch, Putranjiva roxburghii Wall. Similarly, also reported such can be distinguished from basis length 103.4 ± 0.15 74.9 0.55 μm, respectively. Moreover, trichomes with 408 μm P. trichome 314.2 1.35 These findings confirmed taxonomic utility traits identification taxa.

Abstract Orchid seeds have great morphological variations that imply the phylogenetic relationship of species depending on biodiversity family or act as an adaptation to seed dispersal mechanisms life form. This study aims both describe and analyse qualitative quantitative traits 12 Turkish orchids representing epidendroids orchidoids in detail investigate which properties are diagnostic among these taxa also reveal if differentiated ecological preferences studied species. Both features were determined, measurements obtained using light scanning electron microscopy. We applied unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean (UPGMA) cluster analysis canonical discriminant traits. Furthermore, we analyzed same orchid correlation such habitats elevation confirmed usefulness data sets for effectively assessing variation seeds. Although characters cell shape differences chalazal medial region, sizes, numbers longitudinal axis, periclinal wall ornamentation taxonomically conserved, some other characteristics shape, absence ornamentation, larger embryo size developmental achievement germination. confirms value features, effective explaining variety.

Ban Fenghe recorded in the Quality Standard of Yao Medicine Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (Volume 1) is derived from dried stems and leaves Semiliquidambar cathayensis. It usually confused with medicinal herbs Pterospermum heterophyllum Dendropanax dentiger. However, they are very different chemical composition, should not be used as same drug. Stomata epidermis paracytic, anomocytic.Ban drugs could readily distinguished features.
