In the quest for novel therapeutic agents from plants, choice of extraction solvent and technique plays a key role. this study, possible differences in phytochemical profile bioactivity (antioxidant enzyme inhibitory activity) Alstonia boonei leaves stem bark extracted using water, ethyl acetate methanol, different techniques, namely infusion, maceration Soxhlet extraction, were investigated. This study presents a comparison between two mistletoe plants-P. acacia and P. curviflorus-regarding their total phenolic contents antioxidant anticancer activities. curviflorus exhibited higher phenolics content (340.62 ± 19.46 mg GAE/g extract), demonstrated DPPH free radical scavenging activity (IC50 = 48.28 3.41µg/mL), stronger reducing power (1.43 0.54 mMol Fe+2/g) for ferric ions, greater capacity (41.89 3.15 GAE/g) compared to acacia. Although great progress has been made recently in targeted and immune-based therapies, additional treatments are needed for most melanoma patients due to acquired chemoresistance, recurrence, or metastasis. Elevated autophagy is required the pathogenesis of attenuate metabolic stress, protecting cancer cells from chemotherapeutics radiation. Thus, intervention with a promising strategy treatment. Here, we examined novel antimelanoma natural compound named kuwanon H (KuH), which significantly inhibited cell growth invitro/vivo. Mechanistically, KuH induced cytotoxic endoplasmic reticulum (ER) viability apoptosis. Meanwhile, KuH-induced ER stress mediated autophagysome formation through ATF4-DDIT3-TRIB3-AKT-MTOR axis. Importantly, impaired flux, contributed anticancer effects KuH. Finally, our results showed that enhanced sensitivity cisplatin, both invitro vivo, by impairing degradation reactive oxygen species damaged mitochondria. Sepsis is a syndrome of organ dysfunction caused by an uncontrolled inflammatory response, which can seriously endanger life. Currently, there still shortage specific therapeutic drugs. Quercetin and its natural derivatives have received lot attention recently for their potential in treating sepsis. Here, we provide comprehensive summary the recent research progress on quercetin derivatives, with focus mechanisms antioxidation anti-inflammation. To obtain necessary information, conducted search PubMed, Web Science, EBSCO, Cochrane library databases using keywords sepsis, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, anti-infection, quercetin, to identify relevant from 6315 articles published last five years. Kalanchoe pinnata (Lam.) Pers. is an ethnomedicinal plant known for its antioxidant, antibacterial, and therapeutic potential. The current study was effort to explore the impact of extraction technique on phytochemical, antibacterial profile extracts. K. leaf extracts were prepared using conventional solvent (100% methanol; 50% methanol: water; 100% water), microwave-assisted at 700-W power (3 min; 6 9 min), supercritical fluid (SFE) (3500 psi; 4500 5500 psi). Best results attained from SFE in terms total phenolic content (240 ± 3 mg GAE/g), flavonoid (165.2 0.4 QE/g), 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging potential (91.9 0.4%), 2,2′-azino-bis-3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid assay value (8.04 0.03 mMol TE/g) ferric reducing antioxidant (471.7 0.8 µg/mL). have been found be most effective against Yersinia pseudotuberculosis (22.20 0.95 mm) least againstProteus vulgaris (0 0 mm). Obesity, a chronic disease, resulted from excessive consumption of high-calorie foods, leading to an energy imbalance. Protium heptaphyllum (P. heptaphyllum) was used in folk medicine for its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and healing properties. This study evaluated effect liposomes containing ethyl acetate fraction crude leaves on obesity.
