Pterostilbene (PT) is a naturally occurring small molecule stilbenoid that has garnered significant attention due to its potential therapeutic effects in tumor diseases. In this review, we conducted comprehensive analysis of the antitumor PT and derivatives on various cancer types, including colon, breast, liver, lung, pancreatic cancers recent 20 years. We have succinctly summarized exhibit superior anti-tumor efficacy compared PT. Additionally, reviewed structure-activity relationship (SAR) rules clinical application methods establish foundation for chemical modification utilization stilbene compounds.

Resveratrol (RES), a natural polyphenolic compound, has shown promise in enhancing skeletal muscle regeneration and metabolic function. This study aims to explore the impact of RES on after injury through regulation antioxidant capacity mitochondrial biogenesis. treatment significantly increased ratio tibialis anterior mass body weight, alongside reduced fasting glucose levels. Following cardiotoxin-induced injury, improved regeneration, characterized by greater formation new fibers better structural repair compared control. Notably, gene expression analyses demonstrated that RES-treated mice exhibited elevated levels myogenic markers, such as paired box 7 (Pax7), factor 5 (Myf5), myoblast determination protein (MyoD), Myogenin (MyoG). In this study, multifunctional Resveratrol-derived carbon dots (Res-CDs) were prepared using a hydrothermal method. Res-CDs exhibited good free-radical scavenging activities, attributed to abundant surface hydroxyl groups, and effectively inhibited Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli growth at concentration of 2 mg/mL. Composite films by combining with gelatin/chitosan. As well as excellent mechanical properties, the smooth surfaces, thermal stability, antioxidant, ultraviolet-shielding, antibacterial, pH-responsive properties. Furthermore, cell viability measurements showed that safe. When applied keeping pork fresh, gelatin/chitosan/Res-CDs film significantly reduced total viable bacterial count on prevented discoloration. Additionally, pH, volatile basic nitrogen, weight loss confirmed preservative effects pork. This work provides new approach for synthesizing bionanocomposite applicability in food industry.

Quercetin, a major representative of the flavonol subclass found abundantly in almost all edible vegetables and fruits, showed remarkable therapeutic properties was beneficial numerous degenerative diseases by preventing lipid peroxidation. Quercetin is different diseases, such as atherosclerosis chronic inflammation. This study aims to find out anticancer activities quercetin determine mechanisms pathways which are responsible for effect. It also revealed biopharmaceutical, toxicological characteristics, clinical utilization evaluate its suitability further investigations reliable drug. All relevant data concerning this compound with cancer collected using scientific search engines, including PubMed, Springer Link, Wiley Online, Web Science, SciFinder, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar. review demonstrated that strong properties, apoptosis, inhibition cell proliferation, autophagy, cycle arrest, angiogenesis, invasion migration against various types cancer. Findings could significantly moderate regulate pathways, PI3K/AKT‐mTORC1 pathway, JAK/STAT signaling system, MAPK MMP NF‐ κ B p‐Camk2/p‐DRP1 pathway. However, poor oral bioavailability due reduced absorption; limitation overcome applying nanotechnology (nanoformulation quercetin). Moreover, expressed no toxic effect investigated subjects. Abstract This study aims to assess the antidepressant and modulatory activities of citronellal (CIT) on duloxetine (DUX) its possible underlying mechanisms through in vivo silico studies. Hence, forced swimming test (FST), tail suspension (TST), open field (OFT) were carried out. Mice treated with different doses CIT (50, 100, 200 mg/kg, p.o.), while DUX (15 p.o.) was used as a positive control vehicle served negative control. Additionally, molecular docking conducted evaluate binding interactions. Results demonstrated that dose‐dependently significantly ( p < 0.05) alleviated immobility time both FST TST. At dose showed notable effects times 42.17 ± 3.70 70.17 2.56 s TST, respectively. In combination therapy, (100 mg/kg) modulated activity DUX. However, is confirmed by OFT test, which reduced locomotion activity. Further, exhibited moderate affinity (−6.1 kcal/mol) toward serotonin norepinephrine reuptake transporters (SRT NRT) forming several bonds. conclusion, activity, possibly interacting SRT NRT.
