Severe acute respiratory syndrome virus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), the that causes 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19), has been isolated from various tissues and body fluids, including placenta, amniotic fluid, umbilical cord of newborns. In last few years, much scientific effort directed toward studying SARS-CoV-2, focusing on different features virus, such as its structure mechanisms action. Moreover, focus developing accurate diagnostic tools drugs or vaccines to treat COVID-19. However, available evidence is still scarce consistent criteria should be used for diagnosing vertical transmission. Applying PRISMA ScR guidelines, we conducted a scoping review with primary objective identifying types, examining range, transmission SARS-CoV-2 mother newborn.
