Abstract Covalent adaptable networks (CANs), leveraging the dynamic exchange of covalent bonds, emerge as a promising material to address challenge irreversible cross‐linking in thermosetting polymers. In this work, we explore introduction catalyst‐free and associative C=C/C=N metathesis reaction into polyurethanes, creating CANs with superior stability, solvent resistance, thermal/mechanical properties. By incorporating reaction, stress‐relaxation is significantly accelerated compared imine‐bond‐only networks, rate adjustable by modifying substituents ortho position double bonds. The obtained plasticity enables recycle without altering chemical structure or mechanical properties, also found be vital for achieving shape memory functions complex spatial structures. Abstract Constructing an anti‐counterfeiting material with non‐interference dual optical modes is effective way to improve information security. However, it remains challenging achieve multistage secure encryption due the limited stimulus responsiveness and color tunability of current dual‐mode materials. Herein, a hydrogel both independently tunable structural fluorescent colors toward encryption, reported. In this system, rigid lamellar structure poly(dodecylglyceryl itaconate) (pDGI) formed by shear flow‐induced self‐assembly provides restricted domains wherein monomers undergo polymerization form network, producing color. The introduction monomer 6‐acrylamidopicolinate (6APA) as complexation site possibility formation. hydrogel's angle‐dependent can be controlled adjusting crosslinking density water content. Additionally, fluorescence modulated ratio lanthanide ions. Information displayed separately in different channels synergistically overlayed read ultimate message. Abstract Room‐temperature phosphorescence (RTP) materials have attracted significant attention due to their applications in various fields such as information storage and encryption, organic light‐emitting diode (OLED), sensing, lighting display, biological imaging, photodynamic therapy. Traditionally, RTP can be efficiently developed using inorganic systems with noble metals or rare earth elements. Recently, many efforts been devoted the development of based on small molecules. The strategies construct include hydrogen bonding, heavy atom effect, n –π* transitions, π–π stacking, donor–acceptor host–guest doping. Herein, we summarize recent examples molecules primarily focusing design properties. Moreover, promising OLED, well bio‐imaging phototherapy are discussed. challenges perspectives given provide inspiration toward future materials.

Abstract Over the past decade, 4D printing has revolutionized field of advanced manufacturing by fabricating structures that dynamically respond to environmental stimuli. During this process, shape‐memory polymers (SMPs) stand out, enabling transformations triggered temperature, light, or other factors, and show great potential for applications in biomedicine beyond. Notably, biodegradable SMPs offer a compelling advantage medical devices due their ability adapt within body's temperature range be absorbed tissues, reducing risks associated with permanent implants. While extrusion techniques have laid groundwork biomedicine, vat photopolymerization methods like stereolithography digital light processing are now at forefront, favored high resolution flexibility material design. However, search suitable materials these continues, current research focusing on developing systems meet both mechanical demands degradation profiles required applications. Facile fabrication, low material complexity and closed-loop recycling are essential for polymer plastics to alter their linear product economy towards a cradle-to-cradle one. Covalent adaptable networks (CANs) one way achieve that, which intrinsically exhibit decent mechanical properties like the thermosets but could also be easily recycled thermoplastics. In this work, we introduce rigid ester structural motifs into dynamic poly(disulfide)s form series of dual networks. Owning coherence soft/rigid segments reversible sacrificial crosslinking, they tailorable good resistance different chemicals. Their is achieved via mild solvolysis, maintaining materials' integrities. It offers solution as sustainable replacement engineering massively under production hard recycled.

Responsive organic luminescent aggregates have a wide range of application fields, but currently there is still lack reasonable molecular design strategies. Introducing ion-π interactions into molecules can effectively alter their properties. However, current research typically focuses on ion localization at conjugated groups with the strong interaction forces. In this work, we introduce flexible alkoxy chain spacers between fluorescent and sites, then adjust fluorescence performance molecule by changing strength interactions. Bromine ion-based exhibit high stable quantum yields in crystals amorphous powders under external stimuli. Hexafluorophosphate weak yield very low powders, showing variable intensities This demonstrates new class responsive solid-state materials.

The developed smart coating for water–oil separation, characterized by its mild separation conditions, ease of control, and absence secondary pollution, holds promising potential applications in controlled liquid transmission, oil–water textiles, biosensing films. This work focused on synthesizing copolymers that respond to both photon pH stimuli. Initially, 4-trifluoromethoxy-4′-methacryloxyazobenzene (FMAB) similar monomers, serving as photon-responsive units with varying carbon chain lengths, were synthesized using different synthetic routes. Such a design approach also aimed enhance the hydrophobic characteristics photoresponsive segments certain degree. Theoretically, impact carbonyl position nucleophilic substitution reactions was investigated through density functional theory (DFT) calculations. Cyclodextrins (CDs), a low-polysaccharide class, possess hydrophilic outer surface due to their hydroxyl groups, which can be functionalized for various applications. In this study, the groups on β-cyclodextrin were with acrylates (CD-A) and subsequently used as cross-linker in copolymerization acrylamide form polyacrylamide-cyclodextrin hydrogel (PAC). Compared polyacrylamide (PAM), PAC exhibited enhanced water absorption abilities mechanical strength. Inspired by fish scales' structural properties, microporous stainless steel meshes coated PAC, we could demonstrate an excellent oil-water separation superhydrophilicity underwater superoleophobicity. The mesh effectively separated mixtures using gravity filtration, achieving efficiencies of over 99%. Repeated use different oil types confirmed durability effectiveness hydrogel-coated practical applications separation.
