Abstract: α-Glucosidase inhibitors (AGIs) showcase versatile biochemical activities with respect to antidiabetic, anticancerous, antiobese and antiviral effects. They have drawn a great deal of attention from the scientific community. While α-glucosidase are mostly discovered plants microorganisms, recent advance in natural αglucosidase over past five years has been reviewed this article, 139 distinct microorganisms were classified into ten groups based on their chemical structures, including flavonoids (34), xanthones (6), alkaloids (8), benzopyrones / benzofuranones terpenes (23), saponins phenols alcohols (25), esters (18), chalcone (5) other compounds (4). In review, we mainly focused novel structures various biological theses AGIs. Some selected exhibit powerful inhibitory activity anti-tumor activity, may hold promise become candidate drugs for treating type II diabetes cancer future.

: Liver fibrosis, characterized by the overproduction of extracellular matrix proteins within liver tissue, poses a rising global health concern.
