Tai Chi has been recommended as a fall prevention exercise for older adults and may be particularly beneficial during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. This study aimed to investigate benefits of regular practice on standing balance among living in nursing home COVID-19 restrictions. A cross-sectional was conducted with 38 from extended Participants were assigned group (n=18, more than five years experience) control (n=20, no experience). Postural sway assessed under four conditions: eyes open (EO); closed (EC); right leg crossed forward (ER); left (EL). Furthermore, participants completed questionnaires face-to-face regarding their physical activity (PA) sleep quality period. The exhibited significantly less postural group, EO EL conditions (p<0.05). Both groups had similar but different PA profiles. Regular help maintain adults, even limited outdoor mobility due could an effective home-based preventing decline potential falls homes Future studies should long-term effects this population.

Sarcopenia is among the most common musculoskeletal illnesses, yet its underlying biochemical mechanisms remain incompletely understood. Identifying relationship of inflammatory cytokines with sarcopenia components would help understand etiology sarcopenia. We performed a bi-directional Mendelian randomization study to explore causal between 41 and sarcopenia-related traits.
