Today’s widespread and increasing access to the Internet new technologies not only offers great opportunities but also risks for problematic use, whose psychological dynamics need be understood in depth. This study examines how technology addiction may differentially affect well‐being (i.e., psychological, eudaimonic, cognitive hedonic) digital life balance depending on people’s reported levels of online social capital. Seven hundred eleven participants (75.70% female; Mage = 28.33 years, SD 12.30) took part data collection. Drawing Psychology Harmony Harmonization framework, found that people with high capital showed higher scores, as indicated by perceptions satisfaction feelings personal success, compared patterns low In addition, results highlighted a better former group. Overall, findings point key factor unraveling different media addiction, showing it can contribute ensuring driving needs, maintaining even face maladaptive behaviors, ultimately challenging monolithic concept forms addiction. Indeed, suggest potential existence distinct types or shades technological impact differently reflect varying distress, underlying needs behaviors.

Cognitive impairments are frequently observed in subjects with severe mental illnesses (SMI), leading to a remarkable impact their real-world functioning. Well-validated and gold standard instruments available for the assessment of cognitive deficits, but different limitations should be considered, such as need specific training, lengthy administration times, practice effects, or reliance on subjective reports. Recent advances digital technologies, ecological momentary assessments (EMA), virtual reality (VR), passive phenotyping (DP), offer promising complementary approaches capturing In current mini-review, we examine research gaps that limit application these focus feasibility, reliability validity. EMA may capture functioning by increasing number evaluations throughout day, its use might hindered high participant burden missing data. Furthermore, achieve an accurate interpretation EMA, studies account sampling moment selection biases presence several confounding factors. DP faces significant ethical logistical challenges, including privacy informed consent concerns, well challenges data interpretation. VR could serve platform both more ecologically valid rehabilitation interventions, barriers include technological psychometric limitations, underdeveloped theoretical frameworks, considerations. Addressing issues is crucial ensuring novel technologies can effectively valuable complements traditional neuropsychological batteries.

Cyberbullying can be prevalent across different life stages, with lasting traces on mental health the lifespan. This study aims to (a) explore how cyberbullying is emotionally experienced three distinct age groups and (b) analyze influence of included 883 participants divided into groups: 18–39, 40–59, 60+. In-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted gather participants’ experiences perspectives. The data then subjected content analysis, which revealed a number themes. first objective following themes: For ages 18–39: feeling ashamed or humiliated (92.4%), withdrawing from friends family, (c) experiencing harassment as positive difficulties rules. 40–59: losing interest in hobbies (89.5%), questioning about things they did not do, sense missing out. 60+: negative thoughts self-talk (91.3%), judged negatively, financially vulnerable. second showed: depressive symptoms (79.7%), easy anger, suicidal behavior. anxiety (93.2%), low self-esteem, use substances. frustration (78.1%), isolation, disturbances sleep eating patterns. highlights significant psychological emotional impact groups, emphasizing need for targeted interventions that address unique challenges faced by individuals at stages. findings underscore importance developing age-specific strategies mitigate effects have perpetrators take responsibility their reckless disregard others, ultimately, themselves.

Mood and anxiety disorders are highly comorbid, with symptom severity varying over time. Individuals without these completed 30-days of ecological momentary assessment (EMAs) depression, distress, developed based on the established Anxiety Symptom Questionnaire (MASQ). These electronic MASQ (eMASQ) EMAs were collected alongside novel intrinsic extrinsic motivation EMAs, physical/digital activity measures (steps/screentime) across N = 70-101 participants. Each eMASQ-EMA significantly related to its corresponding measure. Extrinsic negatively each had greatest influence patients' overall profile. Physical, but not digital activity, was associated concurrent 1-week lagged highlighting temporally delayed benefits physical depression symptoms in psychiatric groups. Collectively, this study suggests cognitive constructs drive may be useful predicting continuous transient real-world.
