Natural hazards and man-made disasters are victimizing large numbers of people causing significant social economical losses. By developing efficient Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS), managers will be efficiently assisted in identifying managing impending hazards. This goal could not reached without addressing challenges, including data collection, management, discovery, translation, integration, visualization, communication. As an emergent technology, sensor networks have proven efficiency providing geoinformation for any decision support system particularly those aiming to manage hazardous events. Thanks their spatially distributed nature, these largely deployed collect, analyze, communicate valuable in-situ spatial information a timely fashion. Designing an industrial location must be based on consideration of factors that will influence it such as natural, environmental and ecological conditions. One the spatial-based determination methods is Spatial Multi-Criteria Evaluation (SMCE). This study aims to determine suitable areas compare locations have been determined Regional Plan (RTRW) for 2010-2030 in Kendari City. Industrial flood-free, located a relatively flat area, far from settlements, good access not interfere with river’s natural function. Therefore, aspects access, hydrology, physiography convenience were all taken into account this study. The area Scenario A was retested B C get variety different perspectives. City’s appropriate 2.462.36 ha Puuwatu Sub-District, which directly connected Mandonga Sub-District (scenario 2.C). RTRW map model shows mismatch proposed placement. results can used alternative decision-makers.

The traditional approach in DSS falls short of providing a highly interactive problem solving environment for planning.Often, cumbersome procedures are required to implement optional plans and obtain feedback information. In dynamic graphic systems, the user is able view di erent linked representations (e.g., spatial or statistical graphs) data interact selecting items) with these graphics. In this paper we describe design planning facility locations, which uses principles graphics achieve environment. As interacts through active views. However, where views given dataset, structures describing system be planned from perspectives. The declarative procedural forms knowledge involved identi® ed by logical analysis problems.A frame-based formalism proposed represent contained views. The main advantage view-based that it o ers ¯exible performing `what-if ' analyses.

Spatial Decision Support Systems (SDSS) were a hot topic in the 1990s, when researchers tried to imbue GIS with additional decision support features. Successful practical developments such as HAZUS or CommunityViz have since been built, based on commercial desktop software and without much heed for theory other than what underlies their process models. Others, like UrbanSim, completely overhauled twice but external scrutiny. Both theoretical foundations of systems developed considerably over past 20 years. This article presents an overview these then looks at corresponding tools by open source communities. In stark contrast abundance OpenGeo software, there is dearth SDSS. The core discussion different approaches that lend themselves platforms develop framework build variety
