Abstract Power system load frequency control is a key component in maintaining the stability of power system, but integration renewable energy sources poses additional challenges this balance. Due to intermittency and unsustainability energy, new controller, 2-degree-of-freedom double integral feedback controller (2DOF-PIDF-II), proposed effectively reduce errors caused by unsustainability. In addition, an improved Sinh Cosh optimizer (ISCHO) adjust parameters 2DOF-PIDF-II according characteristics excessive parameters. The performance based on ISCHO evaluated through two-area interconnected each area containing various conventional generation units renewables units. Furthermore, nonlinearities, uncertainties, fluctuations are considered designing controller. effectiveness verified comparing its with other techniques literature optimization algorithm.

This paper introduces a novel approach to frequency regulation in stand-alone synchronous generators by combining particle swarm optimization (PSO) with Fuzzy PID controller. study compares three control methods: programmable logic controller (PLC)-based PID, and PSO-Fuzzy An experimental setup is implemented using real physical equipment, including an asynchronous motor, generator, various power components. The system monitored controlled real-time via S7-1215 PLC the TIA Portal V17 interface, controllers are designed MATLAB/Simulink. PLC-MATLAB communication KEPServerEX interface OPC UA protocol. demonstrates superior performance, reducing overshoot, undershoot, settling time compared other methods. These results highlight effectiveness applicability of for industrial control, especially under varying load conditions nonlinear characteristics generator.
