Antibiotics, widely used medications that have significantly increased life expectancy, possess a broad range of effects beyond their primary antibacterial activity. While some are recognized as adverse events, others demonstrated unexpected benefits. These adjunctive effects, which been defined "pleiotropic" in the case other pharmacological classes, include immunomodulatory properties and modulation microbiota. Specifically, macrolides, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones shown to modulate immune system both acute chronic conditions, including autoimmune disorders (e.g., rheumatoid arthritis, spondyloarthritis) inflammatory pulmonary diseases asthma, obstructive disease). Azithromycin, particular, is recommended for long-term treatment due its well-established effects. Furthermore, antibiotics influence human Rifaximin, example, exerts eubiotic effect enhances balance between gut microbiota host cells epithelial cells. pleiotropic offer new therapeutic opportunities by interacting with cells, signaling molecules, bacteria involved non-infectious like spondyloarthritis bowel diseases. The aim this review explore potential antibiotics, from molecular cellular evidence clinical application, order optimize use. Understanding these essential ensure careful use, particularly consideration threat antimicrobial resistance.

Neurodegenerative disease (ND) incidence has recently increased due to improved life expectancy. Alzheimer's (AD) or Parkinson's (PD) are the most prevalent NDs. Both diseases poly genetic, multifactorial and heterogenous. Preventive medicine, a healthy diet, exercise, controlling comorbidities may delay onset. After diagnosed, therapy is needed slow progression. Recent studies show that local, peripheral age-related inflammation accelerates NDs' onset Patients with autoimmune disorders like inflammatory bowel (IBD) could be at higher risk of developing AD PD. However, no increase in ND been reported if patients adequately diagnosed treated. Autoantibodies against abnormal tau, β amyloid α- synuclein have encountered PD protective. This discovery led proposal immune-based therapies for involving monoclonal antibodies, immunization/ vaccines, pro-inflammatory cytokine inhibition anti-inflammatory addition. All different approaches analysed here. Future perspectives on new therapeutic strategies both concisely examined.

Age-related hearing loss is the most common sensory disorder worldwide that contributes to numerous health conditions in aging population. Despite its prevalence, current treatments, including aids, are unsatisfactory improving deficits or slowing reversing pathophysiology. Immunosenescence a key driver of neurodegenerative disease, and similar mechanism has recently come attention age-related loss. Imbalanced levels cytokines chemokines contribute aberrant immune cell activity chronic pro-inflammatory microenvironment may lead degradation inner ear structure function. Macrophages, typically guardians organ homeostasis, found develop dysregulated with due unidentified factors, they interact other components innate system damage hair cells, synapses, neurons, structures critical signal transmission. They also increasingly trigger inflammasome, protein complex involved inflammatory death, complement cascade, perpetuate cycle inflammation cellular cochlea, resulting Senescence certain T populations have indicated role adaptive immunity as well. Deciphering mechanisms dysregulation first step producing targeted therapies for This brief review describes emerging research surrounding systems parallels diseases.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a pathological state characterized by combined set of abnormal movements including slow motion, resting tremors, profound stiffness skeletal muscles, or obvious abnormalities in posture and gait, together with significant behavioral changes. Until now, no single therapeutic modality was able to provide complete cure for PD. This work trial assess the immunomodulatory effects canagliflozin without levodopa/carbidopa on rotenone-induced parkinsonism Balb/c mice.
