Fungal secondary metabolites have been increasingly sought after as an alternative strategy to herbicides and a source of new medicines. Twenty spirobisnaphthalenes (SBNs) were isolated from the fermentation broth Edenia sp. YUD20003 herb Drymaria cordata (L.) Willd. in China, including eight SBNs (1–8) phenolic dinaphthoether (9). Their chemical structures absolute configurations elucidated on basis comprehensive spectroscopic analyses. Hydrogen's high energy and water vapor combustion by products make it a vital role in the low-carbon economy. A novel hydrogen generation method uses lignocellulosic waste residual biomass from plant cell walls, such as agricultural wastes, forestry trash, energy-yielding crops.
