Predictable outcomes intended by the application of PRF (platelet-rich fibrin) derivative membranes have created a lack consideration for their consistency and functional integrity. This study aimed to compare mechanical properties through tensile strength analyze structural organization among produced L-PRF (leukocyte platelet-rich fibrin), A-PRF (advanced A-PRF+ fibrin plus) (original protocols) that varied in centrifugation speed time. (n = 12), 19), 13) were submitted traction test, evaluating maximum average traction. For traction, 0.0020, 0.0022, 0.0010 N·mm−2 obtained A-PRF, A-PRF+, L-PRF, respectively; regarding resistance 0.0012, 0.0015, 0.006 obtained, respectively (A-PRF+ > L-PRF). all groups studied, significant results found. In surface morphology observations SEM, matrix showed highly compact with thick fibers present within interfibrous areas apparent destruction red blood cells leukocytes. The protocol dense composed thin elongated seemed follow preferential orientated direction which platelets well-adhered. Porosity was also evident large diameter spaces whereas most porous platelet concentrate greatest fiber abundance cell preservation. Thus, this concluded higher results, indicating better viscoelastic when stretched two opposing forces.

This systematic review evaluates incorporation antibiotics into PRF to determine its efficacy localized delivery system compared plain without antibiotics. A was conducted according Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, including 13 vitro studies with moderate risk bias. Antibiotics were incorporated using different methodologies, systemic administration before blood collection, addition centrifugation, injection formed matrices. Outcomes analyzed regarding antibacterial efficacy, structural integrity PRF, release kinetics. Antibiotic-enhanced demonstrated significant activity against various bacterial strains. The enhanced dependent on type antibiotic, concentration, method. Encapsulation approaches facilitated sustained antibiotic release, while higher concentrations occasionally disrupted integrity. Systemic collection enriches effectively, producing inhibition zones. effects outperformed alternative carriers, such collagen sponges. Antibiotic-loaded is potent tool applications clinical settings. Further research needed standardize preparation protocols explore impact methods PRF's regenerative properties.

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) offers anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties through angiogenesis, cell differentiation, proliferation. Although studied in many dermatologic conditions, its efficacy is not well-understood. Our objective to review the use effectiveness of PRP for conditions. A literature search was performed PubMed yielded 54 articles published between January 2000 November 2021; written English were reviewed. Intradermal injections associated with increased hair density androgenic alopecia. Successful treatment inflammatory nail diseases has been reported. Improvement psoriasis described, but only two studies available. higher patient self-assessment scores photoaging fine lines. Treatment melasma improved subjective satisfaction, measures disease improvement. can serve as a safe potentially effective adjunct loss, vitiligo, nonhealing wounds, photoaging, acne scars. An important barrier interpreting research lack standardization preparation protocols, inconsistent clinical endpoints, frequent combination treatments. However, relatively noninvasive, well-established safety profile, satisfaction often high patients perceive great benefit from PRP.

Evaluate the role of platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) as a natural carrier for antibiotics delivery through analysis drug release and antimicrobial activity.PRF was prepared according to L-PRF (leukocyte- fibrin) protocol. One tube used control (without drug), while an increasing amount gentamicin (0.25 mg, G1; 0.5 G2; 0.75 G3; 1 G4), linezolid (0.5 L1; L2; 1.5 L3; 2 L4), vancomycin (1.25 V1; 2.5 V2; 3.75 V3; 5 V4) added other tubes. At different times supernatant collected analyzed. Strains E. coli, P. aeruginosa, S. mitis, H. influenzae, pneumoniae, aureus were assess effect PRF membranes with same compared PRF.Vancomycin interfered formation. Gentamicin did not change physical properties released from in time intervals examined. The inhibition area showed that had slight antibacterial activity against all tested microorganisms. Gentamicin-PRF massive Results similar linezolid-PRF, except its coli aeruginosa comparable PRF.PRF loaded allowed drugs effective concentration. Using after oral surgery may reduce risk post-operative infection, replace or enhance systemic antibiotic therapy preserving healing PRF. Further studies are needed prove represents topical tool surgical procedures.

Abstract Bone grafting is routinely performed in periodontology and oral surgery to fill bone voids. While autogenous considered the gold standard because of its regenerative properties, allografts xenografts have more commonly been utilized owing their availability as well differential regenerative/biomechanical properties. In particular, are sintered at high temperatures, which allows for slower degradation resorption rates and/or nonresorbable features. As a result, clinicians combined with other classes grafts (most notably autografts various ratios) procedures requiring better long‐term stability, such contour grafting, sinus elevation procedures, vertical augmentations. This review addresses properties each class then highlights importance understanding biomechanical clinical applications, including extraction site management, augmentation, horizontal augmentation procedures. Thereafter, an introduction toward novel production (NRBAs) via high‐temperature sintering presented. These NRBAs not only pose advantage being biocompatible than origin (human vs. animal bone) but also display similar those xenografts. Thus, while packaging premixtures specific indications has never permitted cross‐species contamination FDA/CE requirements, discovery premixing ratios without regulatory restrictions. Therefore, can be produced (e.g., 1:1 ratio allograft/xenograft mixture grafting) need purchasing separate grafts. optimized form could theoretically provide precise purchase future potential simplified implant dentistry.

A step‐wise therapeutic approach employed for periodontitis. After an initial behavioral and non‐surgical phase, intra‐bony or furcation defects may be amenable regenerative procedures. This review discusses technologies periodontal regeneration, highlighting current limitations future research areas. The search, performed on MEDLINE database, has identified available biomaterials, including biologicals (autologous platelet concentrates, hydrogels), bone grafts (pure putty), membranes. Biologicals have been critically analyzed in terms of composition, mechanism action, clinical applications. Although certain degree regeneration predictable class II defects, complete defect closure hardly achieved.
