ABSTRACT
Objective

Background/Objectives:
Periodontitis,
a
prevalent
chronic
inflammatory
disease
affecting
tooth-supporting
structures,
has
been
increasingly
linked
to
systemic
conditions
such
as
diabetes
mellitus
(DM)
and
cardiovascular
diseases
(CVDs).
This
study
aimed
evaluate
the
periodontal
status
levels
of
dipeptidyl
peptidase-4
(DPP-4)
galectin-3
(Gal-3)
in
gingival
crevicular
fluid
(GCF)
patients
with
periodontitis,
heart
failure
(HF),
diabetes,
exploring
their
potential
biomarkers
for
association.
Methods:
A
cross-sectional

conducted
on
88
categorized

four
groups:
periodontally
systemically
healthy
(control,

periodontitis
(P);
HF
(P+HF);
