Introduction Virtual Reality (VR) is a tool that increasingly used in the aging population. Head-Mounted Displays (HMDs) are stereoscopic vision devices for immersive VR. Cybersickness sometimes reported after head-mounted display (HMD) VR exposure. severity and anxiety state reflect low tolerance. We aimed to evaluate HMD tolerance among older nursing home residents through cybersickness state. Methods A total of 36 participants were included this preliminary study, 33 whom (mean age: 89.33 ± 5.48) underwent three individual sessions with different contents. occurrence scored by Simulator Sickness Questionnaire (SSQ) each session. Anxiety was assessed State–Trait Inventory form Y-A before trait (using Y-B) also evaluated experiment. In total, 92% (33/36) patients completed all sessions, which 61% (20/33) did not report any symptoms (SSQ = 0). Six significant (defined an SSQ score ⩾10) at least one Discussion Only two stopped study first exposure because cybersickness.
