This study investigated the use of phosphogypsum (PG) in long term as a construction material, especially pavement structures. aimed to investigate effect increasing PG percentages on geotechnical parameters Expansive Soil. Extensive laboratory tests were conducted both natural and PG-stabilized soil mixtures examine their compaction properties, consistency limitations, swelling linear shrinkage, pH values, unconfined compressive strength (UCS), California bearing ratio (CBR), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD). The results showed that addition would significantly reduce plasticity, swell potential. Despite these improvements, concluded treating using only did not affect its physical properties sufficiently be considered subbase. As an alternative, lime was supplemented soil-PG mixture noticed blend 30% 4% improved strength, thereby rendering it appropriate for utilization subbase layer. Mechanistic-Empirical Pavement Design Guide (MEPDG) utilized assess performance sections formed with PG-treated untreated soils. result, this contributes development environmentally sustainable waste management system while also demonstrating potential uses roadway construction.
