Abstract Ecosystems generate a wide range of benefits for humans, including some market goods as well other that are not directly reflected in activity 1 . Abstract The impact of droughts and heatwaves on agriculture losses has been exacerbated by the occurrence compound cascading events. Here we present a study that evaluates these events both as singly maize yield in Sinaloa Mexico from 1990 to 2022, using WOFOST crop model. Drought heatwave were identified Standardized Precipitation Index threshold method, respectively. Results show reduction (25%) is found during extreme drought events, emphasizing vulnerability farming unfavorable conditions. While alone did not significant yields, amplified loss yields up 44% compared normal This highlights need for adaptive strategies sustain food security especially context multi hazard framework.

Abstract The decline of honey bee populations significantly impacts the human food supply due to poor pollination and yield decreases essential crop species. Given reduction pollinators, research into critical landscape components, such as floral resource availability land use change, might provide valuable information about nutritional status health colonies. To address this issue, we examine effects factors like agricultural area, urban climatic factors, including maximum temperature, minimum relative humidity, precipitation, on hive 326 colonies across varying landscapes in Mexico. DNA metabarcoding facilitated precise identification pollen from 267 plant species, encompassing 243 genera 80 families, revealing a primary herb‐based diet. Areas characterized by high diversity exhibited greater within colony. Conversely, situated regions with higher proportions demonstrated lower density. ambient temperature outside hives positively correlated diversity, aligning simultaneous decrease humidity influenced both density colony foraged pollen. Our national‐level study investigated dietary size different habitat types, latitudes, conditions, varied levels types disturbances. This effort was taken gain better insight mechanisms driving declines populations. illustrates need for more biodiverse landscapes, preservation diverse habitats, conservation natural semi‐natural spaces.
