Abstract In recent decades, Vygotsky’s sociocultural theory (VST) has become particularly influential in the fields of education and educational psychology. Perezhivanie is an important concept VST that stipulates a relative influence environment on person’s psychological development depending their age or stage development. However, perezhivanie been differentially interpreted applied previous literature to suit purposes domain-specific research. The lack comprehensive theoretical understanding can undermine research findings implications for practices. Drawing content analysis key texts , this paper provides much-needed discussion unpacks comprehensively methodological principles guiding its application. revealed conceptually, be defined as: (a) relation between individual environment, (b) abstract experience attitude towards life situation (c) concrete lived event within situation. Four major discernible components individual’s include environmental factor, personal characteristics mobilised, refraction prism influences. Abstract Background In Norway, games were introduced into the 2020 English curriculum; acknowledging as language learning resources alongside other text‐based material. However, little is known about type of selected by teachers, reasons for doing so, or how are actually used in teaching. This particularly relevant gendered vocational classes, with mainly girls boys respectively different programmes, national surveys show that while most teenage play digital games, comparatively few do. Objectives The primary aim was to investigate commercial game Adventures Anxiety during naturally occurring teaching four classes: one Technological and Industrial Production class (boys only) three Healthcare, Childhood Youth development classes (girls mainly). Methods Participants involved 36 students (aged 16–17) two teachers. Using a mixed methods design (Brevik, 2022), we combined quantitative qualitative analyses classroom video recordings (5.5 h), student screen gameplay (8 h) retrospective teacher interviews (1.5 h). Analyses relied on validated PLATO observation protocol (Grossman, 2015) reflexive thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2022). The importance of developing critical thinking skills in elementary education has gained increasing recognition, particularly through the implementation inquiry-based learning (IBL) models. This study aims to evaluate effectiveness social inquiry model enhancing among fourth-grade students at an public school Surabaya.
