As COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy remains a major public health issue, understanding the factors influencing attitudes and intentions is priority. Applying theory of planned behavior (TPB), this study examined role two forms social trust - namely, particularized toward relationally close others generalized people in general moderating relationship between norms (injunctive descriptive) intent. In studies (n = 235 for Study 1, n 273 2, total N 508), we found some support TPB context vaccination, with injunctive significantly predicting intention. However, perceived behavioral control was not significant predictor Extending TPB, that had an amplifying effect on descriptive attitudes. attenuated link vaccination. The implications these findings are discussed.

Objectives Despite availability of vaccines proven to prevent severe illness, hospitalization, and death from COVID-19, a significant portion the population remains hesitant get vaccinated. This study examined association between proximity vaccination sites COVID-19 vaccine uptake role gender distrust in this relationship. Methods We used data Exposure, Prevention, Impact Study Upstate South Carolina United States which was cross-sectional survey conducted March 2022 August using address-based probability sampling for mail-to-web survey. The analysis included 255 respondents (86 men 169 women). Results About 75% were Men more likely be vaccinated than women (84% vs. 71%). Having 1 9 pharmacies nearby increased odds by 4.64 times; having 10 or these 3.46 times (compared no pharmacies). Each additional kilometer nearest pharmacy decreased 8%. Women showed weaker associations compared men. Including model rendered interaction term insignificant, highlighting as dominant factor. Further that effect on reducing women. Conclusion These findings underscore complex interplay access, trust, demographic factors determining uptake. Addressing hesitancy requires multifaceted approach. Strategies should focus improving building trust through transparent communication, tailoring interventions demographic-specific barriers.

The social and behavioural determinants of COVID-19 vaccination have been described previously. However, little is known about how vaccinated people use rate their health system. We used surveys conducted in 14 countries to study the system correlates vaccination. Country-specific logistic regression models were adjusted for respondent age, education, income, chronic illness, history COVID-19, urban residence, minority ethnic, racial, or linguistic group. Estimates summarised across using random effects meta-analysis. Vaccination coverage with at least two three doses ranged from 29% India 85% Peru. Greater health-care use, having a regular high-quality provider, receiving other preventive services positively associated Confidence government also increased odds By contrast, unmet needs experiencing discrimination medical mistake decreased Associations between predictors tended be stronger high-income most COVID-19-related deaths. Access quality systems might affect vaccine decisions. Building strong primary care ensuring baseline level that affordable all should central pandemic preparedness strategies.

Vaccination is one of the most important public health interventions to combat infectious disease. However, vaccine hesitancy prevents us reaching global target uptake (e.g., 75 % influenza vaccination in at-risk groups). A content was conducted, eliciting recurring themes overarching health behavior dimensions for getting (or not) vaccinated wearing mask. While most subjects willing to get wear mask, small minority not. Both formal (mandates) informal (pressure others) mechanisms played role in participants mask-up vaccinated, even when they did not want to. Reasons included lack of trust government, well vaccine-development process. The results suggest that many prevention initiatives have gone right terms reaching addiction. Public officials may consider alternative ways whose frame reference regarding vaccines, public health, government outreach is one distrust facts. Future research should examine sources medical information, how these contribute individuals' hesitancy.

This paper uses socioeconomic, political, psychological, information seeking and trust-related factors to characterize different beliefs on global challenges—vaccine (COVID-19) climate change—to inform effective science public health communications interventions. We surveyed a sample of 1,790 Australians (73.1% female) aged 18 over 75 years their vaccine beliefs, perceptions change risks, demographics, various political attitudinal beliefs. Six groups representing levels belief across the two challenges were identified. Canonical linear discriminant analysis identified clear functions—Progressive Liberalism Conspiratorial Anti-politics—emerged as explanatory for positive negative loaded worldviews towards mandates, respectively. Willingness act strongly positively onto both functions. The implications this politicized worldview are discussed, including distinction these composites.

Aim; The COVID-19 pandemic has highlighted significant socioeconomic and health disparities, particularly for socially vulnerable populations such as individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Despite the heightened risk of severe outcomes, SUD demonstrated higher vaccine hesitancy lower vaccination rates compared to general population. This study aimed assess status patients in Türkiye explore factors influencing uptake. Method; cross-sectional included a sample diagnosed SUD, data on infection retrieved from digital records. Sociodemographic characteristics, paranoid ideation, confidence were assessed using structured forms. Results; findings suggest that is primary determinant status, while other sociodemographic showed no relationship vaccination. Conclusion; These insights underscore need tailored public interventions boost confidence, addressing healthcare distrust logistical barriers. Further research recommended better understand low uptake this high-risk group develop effective strategies prevention.

The authors use county-level data to test whether an array of socioeconomic, demographic, political and religious variables explain COVID-19 vaccination rates. Results presented here build upon previous investigations vaccine hesitancy in different contexts are largely consistent with those findings. Background controls such as county's percent male (+), median age White (-), household income self-employed the a college or higher education (+) rates for COVID-19. Political affiliation (Percent Republican (-)) remains strongest predictor terms overall statistical significance. Catholic Evangelical (-) also very strong predictors, though opposite directions. This analysis includes state-level fixed effects several robustness checks.
