Men who have sex with men (MSM) are disproportionately affected by HIV, accounting for two-thirds of HIV cases in the United States despite representing ∼5% adult population. Delivery and use existing highly effective prevention treatment strategies remain suboptimal among MSM. To summarize state science, we systematically review implementation determinants HIV-related health interventions using science frameworks. Research on barriers has focused predominantly characteristics individual recipients (e.g., ethnicity, age, drug use) less so deliverers nurses, physicians), little focus system-level factors. Similarly, most target to influence their uptake adherence, rather than improving supporting systems. research is burgeoning; future needed broaden examination at provider system levels, as well expand knowledge how match barriers—particularly address stigma. Abstract Background Uptake of HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) remains low among transgender people as compared to other subgroups, despite high rates acquisition. In California, Latinx comprise 40% the population and Latina women experience some highest burden any subgroup, indicating a critical need for appropriate services. Abstract HIV testing and pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) are recommended in Germany for individuals at increased risk. Abstract Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) is the administration of antiretroviral medications before HIV exposure to prevent infection. PrEP or biomedical prevention an essential part ending epidemic strategy. Currently, there are 4 guideline-approved dosing approaches PrEP, which include 2 oral formulations and 1 long-acting injectable. Unfortunately, most individuals who would benefit from do not receive a prescription, even fewer initiate continue PrEP. In this article, we highlight barriers care among priority populations, discuss evidence-based solutions, offer multilevel considerations for clinicians, researchers, community members increase access, uptake, in all.
