Abstract An eight-week feeding trial was carried out to examine the effects of diets formulated with different combinations novel feed ingredients as substitutes for fishmeal (FM). The research focused on evaluating their influence fatty acid and amino profiles, immunological plasma biochemical analysis, immune related gene expression histological analysis Pacific white shrimp, Penaeus vannamei . Diet-1 (Control): primary source protein fish meal (FM); Diet 2: replaced FM a 1:1 ratio poultry by-product (PBM) single cell (SCP); 3: 1:1:1 insect (IM), rapeseed (RM), SCP; Diet-4 waste (FW), peanut (PM), SCP in ratio; Diet-5 PBM, SCP, IM, FW, PM, RM equal amounts (1:1:1:1:1:1). Nursery reared juvenile shrimps (1.05± 0.03 g) stocked triplicates experimental tanks at rate 35 nos. shrimp per tank. responses profile did not differ significantly ( p >0.05) between dietary groups. Biofloc technology is an aquaculture production system that has gained popularity with tilapia production. Probiotics provide benefits for the host and/or aquatic environments by both regulating and modulating microbial communities their metabolites. When a probiotic feed combined biofloc system, amount may be improved through better fish growth, disease resistance, water quality reducing organic matter stabilizing metrics such as pH components of nitrogen cycle. Two research trials measured Nile ( Oreochromis niloticus ) growth performance composition in within fecal material, following feeding top‐coated treatments. Trial A incorporated (71.4 ± 4.4 g), commercial diet (Control) was top coated either Bacillus velenzensis AP193 (AP193; 1 × 10 7 CFU g BiOWiSH Feedbuilder Syn3 (BW; 3.6 4 −1 ). In B, juvenile (5.34 0.42 g) were fed treatment diets two different concentrations at final (BWx1) 7.2 (BWx2). Tilapia offered (38% protein floating feed) control trials. Results from indicated no differences due to additions, except conversion ratio (FCR) B. Both BWx1 BWx2 showed survival, quality, solids management, bacterial matter. Even though results presented significant differences, could differ based on concentration, route administration, or impact community culture water. testing larger scale varied doses necessary achieve effective dosage improving performance.

Aquaculture is a growing industry, but current practices and raw material utilization must be reviewed to ensure resilient sustainable development. The biofloc technology (BFT) relatively new cultivation system that can adopted accomplish more aquaculture circularity goals. This document discusses BFT its association with (CE), challenges, role of in overcoming those challenges. manuscript adopts Cramer’s 10 R’s Muscat et al.’s five P’s frameworks understand whether functioning key compartments (i.e., feed, environment, water, system, microbials) align CE’s core principles. addition, present work provides relevant insights regarding further (industry academia) application CE approaches, especially biofloc‐based farming context. Biofloc technology (BFT) has recently attracted great attention due to minimal water exchange and reduced feed intake. This study aimed recognize daily changes in the digestive physiology of Oreochromis niloticus between a traditional system BFT. The enzyme activity trypsin (try), chymotrypsin (chy), leucine aminopeptidase (lap), alkaline proteases (alk), lipase (lip), amylase (amy), along with gene expression ( try ), chy pepsin pep amy phospholipase pla ) were measured throughout cycle. Samples taken every 4 h 24 cycle under 12:12 L:D photoperiod. During 60 days, fish three times day (zeitgeber time, ZT: 0, 4, 8) fishmeal‐based diet containing 32% crude protein 5% lipid, where molasses was added as carbon source No significant differences found performance among treatments at end experiment. all tested enzymes significantly p < 0.05) increases during dark period both treatments, same pattern lip. maximum levels show marked effect dependent on presence light phases. cosinor analysis showed an try, lap, lip rhythmicity 0.05). Biofloc technology (BFT) is a relatively new microbial-based cultivation system that can be adopted to accomplish more sustainable aquaculture and circularity goals. This review explores aspects of BFT integrating the utilization probiotics phytobiotics as dietary water supplements. scientific-based snapshot unpacks some physiological pathways brings literature on how these supplements boost quality, well aquatic species' growth, health, survival. Probiotics, live microorganisms confer health benefits host when administered in adequate dosage, are noted for their ability bolster animal defenses sustain quality farming conditions. Recent studies showcased selected bacteria, yeast, fungi, once added into biofloc-based systems enhance performance, act tool management protect fish crustaceans against diseases. On other hand, additives sourced from plants normally compounded feeds known growth animals. These contain plant-based substances/extracts play key role suppress inflammation, pathogens, also antioxidants. ingredients promote healthy gut microbiota, improve feed efficiency, turn genes responsible immunity improving disease resistance fish/shrimp.
