Abstract Effective mosquito control is essential for reducing the transmission of vector-borne diseases. This study focuses on comprehensive characterization mosquitocidal toxins produced by Bacillus thuringiensis serovar israelensis (Bti) VCRC B646 and associated insecticidal genes. The bacterium was cultured, spore-crystal complex purified to identify proteins. isolate were effective against Aedes aegypti, Anopheles stephensi, Culex quinquefasciatus, Toxicity bioassays indicated lethal concentrations (LC50 LC90) aegypti (0.0022 mg/L 0.004 mg/L), quinquefasciatus (0.0025 0.0044 mg/L). SDS-PAGE LC-MS analysis revealed that Cry11Aa5 (Pesticidal Crystal Protein) predominant toxin this strain. PCR amplification confirmed presence genes encoding various proteins, including Cry Cyt toxins. Phylogenetic performed assess genetic relatedness profiles bacterial isolate. detailed Bti highlights its potential as a promising biopesticide candidate control, contributing development sustainable eco-friendly strategies vector management.
