Participants included 93 mothers of aged 27.89–65.84 months, who completed questionnaires maternal stress, children’s internalizing (anxiety), externalizing (disruptive), challenge. Data were collected early intervention program intake approximately one year later. Cross-sectional findings indicated small to medium effect size associations behavior However, cross-lagged structural equation models found neither nor predicted later reverse. Significant stability effects for measures child behaviors, Relations stress over time non-significant our controlled time. Implications research clinical practice, understanding targeting persistence are discussed.

The prevalence of diagnosed cases autism has increased rapidly, which raised interest in studying the variables related to well-being these families. purpose this paper is review recent literature on other family well-being, such as parenting styles. We conducted a systematic using PRISMA check list and bias assessment with aim analyzing if concepts autism, style are related. screened 755 references from relevant databases like Scopus, Pubmed, PscyInfo EBSCO, Web Science Dialnet, updated May 2024. Sixteen full text articles abstracts were read. It was identified that authoritative style, well those based warmth, establishing relationships emotional bonding, low expressed emotion positively well-being. On hand, authoritarian, permissive overprotective styles, critical, punishing training-based, negatively associated quality life.

There is limited literature on the association between parenting practices, stress and externalising behaviours in autistic children. We investigated whether practices mediate behaviours. Parents of school-aged children ( n = 138) completed an online survey child Higher levels were associated with higher In contrast to prior literature, not did have mediating effects However, lower mindful permissive authoritarian practices. Together, findings suggest that targeting can impact Limitations study are acknowledged including cross-sectional design, which limits causality-based inferences, given parent–child associations could occur over time.
