This study evaluated idionomic methods for identifying within-person links between therapeutically relevant processes and outcomes, using an ecological momentary assessment dataset of valued action hedonic well-being (participants (n) = 425; 71.76% female; age M(SD) 22.20 (6.85); sampling design: 3–4 prompts per day; total measurements 6456). We compared the approach, integrating idiographic nomothetic insights, with traditional multilevel modeling (MLM). Our included autoregressive integrative moving average models exogenous variable (i-ARIMAX), multivariate random-effects meta-analysis (RE-MA), deep Gaussian mixture (DGMM), vector autoregression (Multilevel-VAR). The results showed that i-ARIMAX outperformed MLM in capturing heterogeneity affect variables. Increases values-based living were positively related to but this effect a high degree heterogeneity. A sub-group was identified, which we labeled 'Stoics,' whose daily engagement actions did not produce higher (e.g., lower sadness or joy). Multilevel-VAR further revealed Stoics, stressful situations linked action, well-being. For Non-Stoics, less likely situations, when occur it associated more joy sadness. offers initial evidence suggesting superiority approach over purely one diverse pathways clinically outcomes. Idionomic may be useful even necessary personalizing psychological interventions, thus need considered by researchers practitioners alike.

Abstract This study investigates whether data from people with endometriosis (n = 58) and fibromyalgia exhibit what is called “ergodicity,” meaning that results analyses of aggregated group can be used to support conclusions about the individuals within groups. The variables studied here are commonly investigated in chronic pain: pain intensity, interference, depressive symptoms, psychological flexibility, catastrophizing. Data were collected twice daily for 42 days each participant analyzed 2 ways: as separate cross-sectional studies using timepoints sets (between-person) individual longitudinal person's time series (within person). To confirm ergodicity, should agree. However, this not was observed several respects. between-person showed substantially less variability compared within-person data. evident both summary statistics involving single correlational analyses. Overall, correlations relatively restricted range, while varied widely. These findings have potentially profound implications field research. Because ergodicity found, raises doubts around assumption groups accurately represent range experiences pain. advocate a shift toward inclusion more person-focused approaches an addition group-based approaches. could lead personalized effective treatments by better capturing then clarifying heterogeneous nature pain, including processes underlie it.

The global population is ageing at an unprecedented rate, with Africa experiencing the fastest growth in number of older persons (aged 60 and above), followed by Latin America, Caribbean Asia. Like other developing nations, such as Zimbabwe, Namibia, India Indonesia, Ghana witnessing a rapid rise its population. It crucial to understand address unique wellbeing needs Ghanaian persons. This study examined interrelationships between emotional, physical, psychological spiritual their collective influence on social Ghana. Using data from World Health Organization’s Study Global Ageing Adult (SAGE) Wave 2, sample 1927 individuals aged above was analysed through structural equation modelling (SEM). Results reveal that physical ( β = 0.57, p < 0.001) strongly predicts wellbeing, 0.25, 0.001), emotional 0.17, wellbeing. In addition, each dimension interacts synergistically, enhancing overall (integration, acceptance, coherence, contribution actualisation). Factors sex, marital status perceived health significantly mediate these relationships, females married reporting higher findings highlight need for multidimensional interventions support healthy ageing, advocating policies enhance interconnected dimensions foster inclusion quality life Holistic care models should be adopted approaches addressing

Abstract Functional magnetic resonance imaging studies typically rely on between-person analyses. To examine individual differences in functional connectivity, we used Group Iterative Multiple Model Estimation and its subgrouping function to analyze data of 54 participants who were suppressing imagined future threat. A two-stage random-effects meta-analytic approach was employed differences. In addition generalizable connections between brain regions, identified personalized models suggesting different pathways through which individuals suppress Two subgroups with distinct connectivity patterns emerged: One subgroup (n = 29; 53.70%), characterized by an additional lagged connection from the right left posterior cingulate cortex, exhibited comparatively higher anxiety less whereas other 25; 46.30%), showing cortex ventromedial prefrontal associated lower levels greater connectivity. This study points during emotion regulation.

Abstract This study investigates the effectiveness of mindfulness-based interventions in reducing stress and anxiety among technology professionals during implementation significant technological changes within their organization. It is designed as a randomized controlled trial (RCT) with four assessment points (baseline, post-intervention, follow-ups at 3 6 months), where 64 participants, including software developers, systems engineers, data analysts, were to either intervention group (n = 32) or waitlist control 32). Stress levels measured using Perceived Scale (PSS), assessed Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI). Significant reductions observed these improvements maintained follow-up assessments, confirming sustained benefits managing associated change.
