Abstract Background The rapid shift to online education due COVID-19 quarantine challenged students’ ability accept pure learning without negative consequences for their physical, emotional and mental health. Although technologies (including information, e-learning, and communication) have been daily employed by University students in the last years, COVID-19 pandemic has led to a considerable increase their use. Technostress is modern term referring levels of stress caused prolonged exposure technology.The aim this study assess technostress related anxiety depression among Paraguayan students, describing sociodemographic characteristics relevant associations.A cross-sectional descriptive conducted. Participants were recruited through an Internet-based survey. Technostress, anxiety, assessed with Questionnaire (TechQ), Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7 (GAD-7) questionnaire, Patient Health Questionnaire-2 (PHQ-2), respectively.A total 378 participants included, 74.1% whom women. According TechQ scores, 47.4% reported low/moderate level whereas 5.2% showed severe scores. About 58.5% GAD-7 score ⩾10, meeting diagnostic criteria for generalized anxiety. 60.3% scored ⩾3 at PHQ-2 reporting significant depression. significantly associated (p < .001) as well .001).Our results suggest further research regarding implications on well-being students.
