Microplastics (MP) and antibiotics coexist in the environment their combined exposure represents a source of increasing concern. MP may act as carriers because sorption capacity. Knowledge interactions between them help improve understanding migration transformation. In this work, adsorption behaviour group sulfonamides acetylated metabolites on different sizes polyamide (PA) polystyrene (PS) were investigated compared. Sulfonamides adsorbed both (qmax up to 0.699 0.184 mg/g, for PA PS, respectively) fitting linear isotherm model (R2 > 0.835). A low particle size an acidic salinity medium significantly enhances capacity (i.e. removal sulfamethoxazole increased from 8% onto 3 mm pellets 80% 50 pellets). According characterization results, mechanism is explained by pore filling hydrogen bonds (for PA) hydrophobic PS). After adsorption, surface area was result potential ageing particles intensity XRD peaks higher denoting structure more amorphized. Metabolites efficiently than parent compounds PS while opposite effect observed acetylation amine and, subsequently reduction bond interactions. Although dissolved organic matter inhibits 65.2% effluent wastewater 72.1% water experiments using real matrices role vectors sulfonamide aquatic media.

The presence of pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment presents a challenge to modern science. most significant impact this can induce is emergence antibiotic resistance, which lead global health emergency. It important note that not limited resistance. Pharmaceuticals also affect behaviour and reproductive systems organisms, with cascading effects on entire ecosystems. Numerous studies have reported due uncontrolled disposal polluted domestic, agricultural, industrial wastewater water bodies. This work discusses potential one hand are highly for mankind, yet their non-judicious usage equally intriguing problematic conditions systems. Pathways through pharmaceutics make way into bodies discussed. Furthermore, risk imposed by life elaborated. possible pragmatic remediation methods pharmaceutical products be treated Emphasis placed phytoremediation advanced oxidative process, factors affecting efficacy these

Various studies show that antibiotics have long been used in medicine, particularly veterinary as additives animal food either for the stimulation of their growth or therapy certain infectious diseases. However, others proven these intensive use and massive quantity solid liquid farming waste caused many environmental risks. This review paper presents state art, which is specifically related to impact extensive some breeding animals, notably cows, pigs, chickens. Relevant raised issue discussion pollution manures agricultural soil by antibiotic residues, probably result multiplication resistant pathogens. type resistance embodied roughly immediate cropping up diseases plants, humans. article an examination literature part not only fighting against but also suggesting efficient solutions. Among solutions, physicochemical biological methods removal were extensively studied. The ligninolytic microorganisms enzymes discussed. In this vein, previous found fungi active influential biodegradation thanks enzymes, laccases peroxidases.
