Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a primary cause of vision loss among individuals with diabetes and represents the most prevalent microvascular complication mellitus. Its pathophysiological mechanisms involve processes such as oxidative stress, chronic inflammation, cell apoptosis, angiogenesis. As core transcription factor in antioxidant response, Nrf2 upregulates expression genes through Keap1-Nrf2-ARE pathway, hence reducing reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels retinal cells alleviating stress correlated damage. By activating Nrf2, release pro-inflammatory cytokines inhibited, which helps mitigate inflammation delays DR progression anti-apoptotic effects, suppression angiogenesis ferroptosis inhibition. This review highlights Nrf2-related regulatory latest research progress regarding its function DR, offering theoretical foundation for Nrf2-targeted therapies.

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by erythematous plaques with white scales. Its pathogenesis closely linked to oxidative stress and an imbalance in Th1/Th2 immune responses. Current treatments for psoriasis, such as topical agents, systemic therapies phototherapy, frequently fail achieve complete remission clinical settings. Monomethyl fumarate (MMF), which has been approved the US Food Drug Administration 2020 multiple sclerosis, demonstrated efficacy psoriasis management. Additionally, our previous studies have identified aluminum ions beneficial treatment. This present study investigates combined therapeutic effects of MMF observed that combination treatment achieves superior compared either alone mouse model through modulation Nrf2/NF-κB signaling pathway, cellular models. The first activates Nrf2 nuclear translocation induces antioxidant gene expression, followed inhibition NF-κB phosphorylation, reduces Th1 cytokine production chemotaxis. Concurrently, elevates Th2 secretion, thereby increasing anti-inflammatory response HaCaT cells. Overall, these findings support (MMFAL) potential strategy effectively diminishing inflammation stress.

Aims/Background Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an inflammatory autoimmune disease and N-acetylcysteine (NAC) considered a potential therapeutic agent for RA due to strong antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, this systematic review meta-analysis aimed evaluate the efficacy of NAC as adjuvant therapy RA. Methods A search was conducted across five databases from inception 1 August 2024, including CINAHL, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, PubMed, Web Science. The risk-of-bias tool randomized trials used assess quality included studies. Sensitivity analysis performed when significant heterogeneity identified. Results Four studies involving 204 patients were in our meta-analysis. results indicated that alleviated activity (Disease Activity Score 28-erythrocyte sedimentation rate (DAS28-ESR): mean difference (MD) = 0.54). Additionally, reduced markers (erythrocyte (ESR): MD 3.00). However, beneficial effects on oxidative stress not observed. Conclusion This demonstrated reducing markers, improving joint tenderness, swelling with
