Glucocorticoid withdrawal syndrome is a challenging clinical phenomenon that can complicate the postsurgical recovery of Cushing syndrome. It characterized by physical tolerance and dependence to supraphysiologic glucocorticoid exposure during active followed abrupt decline in cortisol levels after surgical treatment. The symptoms often overlap with those postoperative adrenal insufficiency be difficult for patients cope clinicians treat. This mini review will discuss characteristics, pathophysiology, management while highlighting recent data field.
