This research looks at how the growth of cities and industries affects levels heavy metals in soil, which can impact people's health. We find out where pollution comes from, such as factories, car fumes, improper waste disposal, by reviewing existing studies. use different methods to test soil for study exposure these urban areas The evidence shows a connection between high city health problems like breathing issues, brain disorders, overall toxicity body. also explore get into human body, highlighting importance understanding they are available ways people exposed. To deal with polluted soils, we look manage suggest sustainable reduce metal pollution. Our discoveries add what know about environmental health, emphasizing need actions protect residents. Ultimately, this aims give important information insights policymakers, planners, public officials managing lessening risks linked contamination soils.

Abstract Soil salinity is a major environmental stressor impacting global food production. Staple crops like wheat experience significant yield losses in saline environments. Bioprospecting for beneficial microbes associated with stress-resistant plants offers promising strategy sustainable agriculture. We isolated two novel endophytic bacteria, Bacillus cereus (ADJ1) and Priestia aryabhattai (ADJ6), from Agave desmettiana Jacobi. Both strains displayed potent plant growth-promoting (PGP) traits, such as producing high amounts of indole-3-acetic acid (9.46, 10.00 µgml −1 ), ammonia (64.67, 108.97 µmol ml zinc solubilization (Index 3.33, 4.22, respectively), ACC deaminase production biofilm formation. ADJ6 additionally showed inorganic phosphate (PSI 2.77), atmospheric nitrogen fixation, hydrogen cyanide Wheat seeds primed these endophytes exhibited enhanced germination, improved growth profiles, significantly increased yields field trials. Notably, both ADJ1 tolerated (up to 1.03 M) germination seedling under stress, acting independently synergistically. This study reveals stress-tolerance traits within bacteria A. . Exploiting under-explored microbiomes approach developing salt-tolerant crops, mitigating the impact climate change-induced salinization on security.

Phytoremediation technology is viewed as a potential solution for addressing soil uranium contamination. Sudan grass (Sorghum sudanense (Piper) Stapf.), noted its robust root structure and resilience to heavy metals, has garnered significant attention. This paper investigates strain of uranium-tolerant bacterium, B6, obtained from the inter-root environment native plants in contaminated with tailings. The bacterium was identified Bacillus cereus. Genomic analyses assessment tolerance-promoting properties showed that B6 not only exhibited high tolerance, but also possessed beneficial such phosphorus solubilization iron-producing carriers. In this study, we used an inoculant combination germination potting experiments. findings demonstrated cereus could substantially mitigate adverse effects stress on grass, boost plant’s antioxidant response, significantly increase length dry biomass facilitate accumulation roots, well translocation aboveground portions. study PGPB can enhance effect plant become uranium-rich plant, which provides important scientific basis application prospect use microbial-assisted remediation treat uranium-contaminated soil.

Poa alpigena Lindm is a dominant forage grass in the temperate grasslands of Qinghai Lake Basin, commonly used for grassland restoration. Soil microorganisms are crucial material cycling within terrestrial ecosystems. This study aimed to investigate effects P. on microbial community composition and structure rhizosphere non-rhizosphere soils Qingbaya area. Using high-throughput sequencing, we identified gene pools compared diversity. Metagenomic analysis showed that soil contained 35.42–36.64% known sequences, with bacteria making up 79.25% microbiota. Alpha diversity indicated significantly higher richness soil, influenced by electrical conductivity, total carbon, nitrogen content. LEfSe revealed Alphaproteobacteria Betaproteobacteria were major differential taxa soils, respectively. Key metabolic pathways related AMPK signaling, secondary metabolite biosynthesis, starch metabolism, while involved aromatic compound degradation, purine metabolism diverse environments. The enrichment functional methane oxidation suggests potential role shaping processes linked greenhouse gas regulation, although direct evidence flux changes was not assessed. Similarly, presence degradation indicates processing such compounds, but no measurements specific contaminants performed.

Biofertilizers are environmentally friendly compounds that can enhance plant growth and substitute for chemically synthesized products. In this research, a new strain of the bacterium Bacillus velezensis, designated JZ, was isolated from roots strawberry plants exhibited potent antagonistic properties against altitudinis m-1, pathogen responsible leaf spot disease in strawberry. The fermentation broth JZ exerted an inhibition rate 47.43% pathogen. Using optimized acid precipitation method, crude extracts lipopeptides were obtained. extract B. velezensis did not significantly disrupt cell permeability whereas it notably reduced Ca2+-ATPase activity on membrane markedly elevated intracellular reactive oxygen species (ROS) concentration. To identify active within extract, QTOF-MS/MS employed, revealing four antimicrobial compounds: fengycin, iturin, surfactin, polyene antibiotic known as bacillaene. also produced various plant-growth-promoting substances, such protease, IAA, siderophore, which assists to survive under infection. These findings suggest holds significant potential biological control agent altitudinis, providing promising avenue management bacterial disease.
