In the face of increasing disturbance factors, resilience has become an important criterion for measuring sustainable development cities. Quantitatively describing process urban and identifying key areas dimensions are scientific significance understanding evolutionary law resilience, guiding regional risk prevention, building environment development. For this study, taking Nanchang City as a case study dividing natural water network groups, index system was constructed from scale, density, morphology, function by drawing on theory landscape ecology basis considering internal relationship between attributes factors. On basis, focuses evolution differences in various groups quantitatively describes coordinated status adaptive phase characteristics resilience. This not only enriches research scale perspective but also provides specific spatial guidance formulating resilient planning promoting

Building regional ecological network can alleviate the notable contradiction between land use and development in process of rapid urbanization. Suzhou is center city Yangtze River Delta urban cluster a typical water city, but high intensity has fragmented its space. The study firstly introduced patch generation simulation (PLUS) model to simulate under priority scenario 2032, combining data 2002, 2012 2022 provide basis for construction later stage. Secondly, sources four periods were identified by morphological spatial pattern analysis (MSPA) landscape connectivity analysis, corridors nodes each period screened classified minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) model, gravity hydrological analysis. Then we superimposed sources, corridors, construct an that develop harmony with dynamics. Finally, degree optimization was verified structural evaluation comparison 2022. results indicate (1) largest area among types, good substrate. Under guidance green strategy, woodland grassland areas will slightly increase 2032. overall generally remain consistent 2022, fragmentation be mitigated. (2) A total 23 are identified, mainly located near Taihu Lake, Yangcheng Lake River. Among them, most important source. 76 screened, including 31 22 protected potential mostly corridors. 54 selected, divided into 21 general strategic points, 12 11 restorative points 10 break points. (3) plan forms "three cores, pieces, multiple sources" proposes corresponding refined management measures promote sustainable region. In addition, this aims propose framework coupled simulation, which new ideas similar regions affected urbanization around globe.

Resilience has been widely used as a concept to analyse, understand, and improve cities' coping capacities disasters. However, it is still challenge operationalise quantify resilience. This study proposes framework for assessing resilience disasters based on the relationship between disaster intensity damage rate. We use intense (short-term heavy) rainfall-induced urban flooding in Shenzhen city, one of largest cities China, an example explore main features transferability proposed assessment framework. In addition, we demonstrate usability by using assess compare effectiveness two resilience-building strategies: (1) permeable pavement transformation (2) land vulnerability reduction. research makes innovative contribution through its effective disaster-damage-based approach quantitatively evaluating disasters, which can support building mitigating impact climate change.

Academic interest in comprehending flood resilience concepts and their evaluation is growing with the increasing frequency severity of disasters due to climate change (CC). This paper conducts a comprehensive systematic literature review on urban assessment (UFRA) address inadequacy preparedness, response lengthy recovery process. The covers UFRA process considering elements, methods, tools techniques, challenges achieving provides guidance for constructing advance frameworks. Scopus Web Science databases were accessed by employing pertinent keywords. reveals prevalence frameworks analysing isolated or clustered elements rather than framework assessing resilience. Various such as multi-criteria decision-making methods (MCDM), hydrological modelling, household surveys, geographic information system (GIS) are commonly employed single elements. However, achieve overall an area, there need integrated approach that accounts evolving risk landscape. Creating poses intricate nature system, which requires collaboration across multiple disciplines integration modern including computational modelling agent-based (ABM) dynamics approaches, artificial intelligence cognitive fuzzy modelling. outcome this research serves valuable resource researchers, academicians, policymakers. It aids understanding process, focusing inter-relationships, dimensions indicators necessary scenarios comprehensively.

Green infrastructure (GI) has been increasingly associated with urban flood resilience as it provides benefits in protecting communities from dangers and improving socio-economic capabilities. In order to optimize the GI advantages, is necessary engage strategic prioritizing of implementation areas, considering local conditions. Despite a growing interest connecting resilience, there still lack strategic-oriented planning models aimed at enhancing resilience. This study introduced Flood Resilience-based Urban Infrastructure Site Priority (FRUGISP) model, which employs GIS-based multi-criteria assessment determine regions that should be prioritized for systems, based on their levels. The model was used map priority areas Monterrey, Mexico, Brussels, Belgium. distinct features, both cities face challenges. results showed utmost importance index land availability implementation. potential applied other grappling issues, providing guidance decision-makers selecting high-priority locations projects. approach can effectively address difficulties posed by floods, ensuring areas.

When encountering crisis events, systems, organizations, and people must react handle these unpredictable events. Under circumstances, important social functions infrastructures be restored or adapted as quickly possible. This capacity refers to resilience. Although considerable research has been conducted on the resilience of infrastructure systems over past years, a critical review studies remains lacking. Therefore, this study aims bridge knowledge gap by presenting comprehensive in decade, namely, from 2011 2021. On basis systematic search, identified 222 journal articles investigating A papers revealed five streams area (IR), assessment resilience, improvement conceptualizing various perspectives, factors influencing prediction also presented some directions that future can pursue. These include analyzing based simulation, assessing green infrastructure, improving interdependent predicting empirical research.
