A sensitive and robust trap method was developed for the determination of cadmium (Cd) by using a slotted quartz tube. Using this at sample suction rate 7.4 mL/min 4.0 min collection, 1467-fold increase in sensitivity obtained compared to flame atomic absorption spectrometry method. Under optimized conditions, limit detection 0.075 ng mL-1 The interference effects hydride-forming elements, transition metals, some anions on Cd signal were investigated. evaluated analyzing "Sewage Sludge-industrial origin (BCR no: 146R)", "NIST SRM 1640a Trace elements natural water", "DOLT: 5 Dogfish Liver". There good agreement between certified found values 95% confidence level. This applied successfully drinking water fish tissue samples (liver, muscle, gill) from Muğla province.

Ogun and Eleyele Rivers are in the Western part of Nigeria with a potential risk heavy metal pollution because many industrial wastes channeling through their courses. Therefore, this study, concentration metals possible human health consuming Clarias gariepinus Sarotherodon melanotheron collected from industrially polluted were evaluated. The arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) tissues (gill, muscle, liver) fish was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) compared maximum permissible. Estimated Daily Intake (EDI), Targeted Hazard Quotient (THQ), Carcinogenic Risk (CR) estimated for determination risk. Probabilistic predictions performed Oracle Crystal Ball software. Results study showed that dry weight concentrations gills, liver, muscle two species sites well below permissible limits set by joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee. Only EDI gills C. obtained River exceeded limit. THQ >1 As liver S. river suggesting non-carcinogenic to consumers. carcinogenic above 10−6 As, Cd, Ni suggested cancer consumers rivers. Consequent our observation, consumption site presents some public concerns. advises routine monitoring along these rivers implement regulatory standards government environmental management agencies.

This research report provides a comprehensive overview of the historical trends in heavy metal concentrations Pontic shad (Alosa immaculata) populations from both Danube River and Black Sea, while also exploring potential influence global warming on accumulation. Through bibliometric modeling analysis, it reveals significant limitations existing international research, particularly lack data impact hydroclimatic changes accumulation Alosa immaculata. Recognizing critical importance studies bioaccumulation shad, this underscores their significance defining tolerance thresholds, quantifying toxic elements along aquatic food chain, enhancing economic sustainability ichthyofauna monitoring efforts. Furthermore, these contribute invaluable insights into complex dynamics ecosystems, offering essential decision-making support for optimizing commercial fishing management practices ensuring robust systems industrial endeavors.

The aim of this study was to estimate the fish quality in terms Cu, Fe, Mn and Zn contents. research material muscle tissue crucian carp (Carassius carassius Linnaeus, 1758), flounder (Platichthys flesus Gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata mackerel (Scomber scombrus Blue grenadier (Macruronus novaezelandiae Hector, 1871), rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss Walbaum, 1792), tench (Tinca tinca tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus Walleye pollock (Gadus chalcogrammus Pallas, 1814) perch (Perca fluviatilis 1758.). Heavy metals were determined with atomic absorption spectrometry method (AAS). Significantly high concentrations zinc (19.52 mg/kg wet weight), copper (0.77 mg/kg) iron (6.95 found muscles (p < 0.05) compared other studied, whereas had a higher content manganese (0.266 0.05). All studied species do not pose threat humans from these four metals. This indicated by indexes (THQ HI) whose values below one. also did exceed maximum allowable established FAO (1983), but monitoring both aquatic environment living there is necessary, for example, time-changing abiotic biotic factors that can cause an increase organs fish.
