Climate change and sustainable development are interconnected pressing global challenges requiring urgent attention. Researching the trends in climate through a bibliometric study is essential for addressing challenges, identifying gaps knowledge, informing policy decisions, promoting collaboration within academic research community. This aims to conduct analysis investigate trends, network, thematic evaluation of publications on development. 1696 papers from 1992 2022 were selected using PRISMA framework Scopus database. We employ Bibliometric R VOSviewer software analysis. The found that literature citations have grown significantly. Chinese Academy Sciences leads productivity, while USA, China, India most productive countries. Surprisingly, 44 received over 100 citations, 50% less than five. Trending topics include COVID-19, urbanisation, attitude, mitigation adaptation, etc. themes reveals shift towards mitigation, goals. findings serve as valuable resource researchers, policymakers, practitioners, facilitating deeper understanding evolving knowledge emerging areas. general emphasis more specialised underscores necessity focused examinations distinct domains, including but not limited pursuit

Increasing demand for food and environmental stressors are some of the most challenging problems that human societies face today these have encouraged new studies to examine drought impacts on production. Seeking discuss important issues in South African context, this study analyzed security one country's largest commercial agricultural land (Free State Province). Earth observation crop data were acquired from Application Extracting Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS) GrainSA databases, respectively years 2011/2012–2020/2021 over Free Province. Two crops namely, maize sorghum obtained database accordingly quantify two crops. The result reveals 2015 2018 affected by extreme events (<10%) where majority area was impacted. Years 2011, 2016, 2018, 2019 severely (>30%) impacted sector area. Findings further revealed production observed lowest recorded year 2014 with about 223,600 119,050 tons, respectively. More so, results showed 2019, 23,600, 24,640, 24,150 order during period study. confirm productions other years. This development might area, outcome will enable decision-making bodies enhance improved strategy vulnerable areas.

The emergence of ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA) has created a shift from the conventional approaches often accompanied by high costs, including conflicting interests associated with dense urban fabric and inflexibility. Therefore, EbA presents potential for more comprehensive, cost-efficient, multifunctional multidimensional measures in flood disaster risk management. Essentially, integrates biodiversity ecosystem services as an approach to climate change reduction. This study adopts descriptive exploratory analytical aimed at assessing trends events South Africa their management through EbA. reveals that between 1959 2019, several major floods have occurred, resulting losses life livelihoods significant infrastructure damages among others. The diverse landscape of global land use and cover (LULC) change studies were evaluated to uncover the current advances in data future research potential through bibliometrics Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) approach. A total 2710 published articles with search phrase "Land Land change" OR "Land-use use/Land changes" retrieved using Scopus, Web Science (WOS), ScienceDirect databases from 1993 2022. findings indicated a 24.37% annual growth rate LULC studies, reflecting rapid overall increase articles. China USA emerged as most influential countries regarding article numbers, citations, single-country publications. Ethiopia, Ghana, South Africa, among top 20 rankings underscore importance this research. However, disparity output between multiple-country publications dominant trend highlights geographical bias particularly Global South. This finding underscores need more balanced approach can stimulate further investigation. results also revealed that remote sensing, rapidly growing field utilising advanced computing techniques, is prevalent keyword has significant applications reducing degradation. The increasing drought frequency poses a significant threat to global and regional river systems ecosystem functioning, especially in the complex topographical Buffalo River catchment area of Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. This study explored impact on riparian vegetation dynamics using Normalize Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI), Transformed (TDVI) Modified Normalized Water (MNDWI) from satellite-derived Landsat data 1990 2020. least-squares linear regression Pearson’s correlation coefficient were used evaluate long-term cover role precipitation streamflow. results revealed moderate positive (r = 0.77) between streamflow with p-value 0.04 suggesting consequences health. Concurrent precipitation, trends showed that increased insignificantly less an influence while reverse was case long term. show NDVI TDVI indices for detecting water-stressed dynamics. This study conducts a scientometric review on the use of geopolymer mortar and composites in different construction applications. It aims to analyze findings past research reveal constituents, development trends, knowledge gaps. The Scopus database was employed retrieve relevant publications, while Bibliometrix used conduct statistical analyses. Results revealed steady gradual increase number publications after 2013, as annual growth rate increased from 23.9% 45.2% between timeframes 2003–2013 2014–2022, respectively. analysis highlighted that many authors collaborated applications geopolymers regardless geographic location. Abstract Flooding is a global threat causing significant economic and environmental damage, necessitating policy response collaborative strategy. This study assessed research trends advances in geospatial meteorological flood risk assessment (G_MFRA), considering the ongoing debate on management adaptation strategies. A total of 1872 original articles were downloaded BibTex format using Web Science (WOS) Scopus databases to retrieve G_MFRA studies published from 1985 2023. The annual growth rate 15.48% implies that field has been increasing over time during period. analysis practice highlights key themes, methodologies, emerging directions. There exists notable gap data methodologies for between developed developing countries, particularly Africa South America, highlighting urgency coordinated efforts cohesive actions. challenges identified body extant literature include technical expertise, complex communication networks, resource constraints associated with application gaps methodologies. advocates holistic approach disaster through ecosystem-based underpins Sustainable Development Goals develop innovative techniques models potential influence decision-making domain. Connections between water, food, and energy are at the center of long-term economic environmental development protection. Water, food keys to input a necessary component progress.
