Abstract Natural resources are vital given by nature and responsible for promoting a nation's economic development. However, with the existence of two opposing theories, it is essential to provide state‐of‐the‐art research that ascertains association between natural growth. The Rostow hypothesis presents importance in growth, while curse alludes resources, developing countries, reduce present uses contemporary Methods Moments Quantile Regression method explore on this relationship fifteen resources‐rich African countries. data used annual period 1990 2021. major results presented show rent significantly promotes growth region, supporting postulations Rostow's hypothesis. Abstract Ecological footprint (EFP) measures the amount of area, that is land or sea, which required to absorb waste generated through human activities support production resources consumed by populations. EFP index therefore includes six dimensions are cropland, forestland, carbon, fishing grounds, grazing land, and built-up area. Human have impacted environment, leading global warming, widespread droughts, diseases. The present study aims investigate role renewable energy (RE) efficiency on index. Past researchers widely used carbon emission (CE) represent environmental impact, recent studies shown a better proxy degradation. Therefore, research differs from past in it compares how determinants degradation affects CE. Panel dataset OECD countries 1990 2020 employed. CS-ARDL, DCCEMG, AMG techniques, overcome dynamics, heterogeneity, cross-sectional dependence, main findings depict RE significantly reduces CE, while economic growth exacerbates them. Energy but does not affect EFP. Non-renewable & development increase an insignificant positive effect observed with This paper shows factors influence CE may always Thus, reduce fundamental understand each dimension influenced.

Purpose The purpose of this study is to verify all factors that promote renewable energy (RE) consumption. Past studies have shown financial development (FD) and economic growth (EG) are the major drivers toward RE development, while oil prices had mixed outcomes in different regions by studies. Design/methodology/approach Global warming effects been reason transition nations from fossil fuel use sources considered as friendly environment. This research uses fixed random techniques, ascertain which impact development. generalized linear model also used check robustness Fixed Effects Random models’ results, Kao, Pedroni Westerlund tests cointegration specified model. Findings findings show importance EG FD promoting Oil prices, inflation rate public sector credit present a negative effect on foreign direct investment does not significantly Practical implications recommends sources, well stabilization consumer prices. Originality/value important because it specifies three proxies FD, together with rate, modeling RE. By investigating emerging seven economies, becomes one few done region, per authors’ knowhow.

Energy is both a fundamental necessity and driving force behind human activities. Throughout history, energy consumption has steadily risen, evolving from basic needs like food fire for early humans to complex industrial technological requirements today. Transitioning sustainable system requires policy framework that empowers developing nations promote green industries, diversify their sectors, accelerate growth while addressing climate change related challenges. In response the urgent need global transition towards sources, this research explores pivotal roles of technology, research, in advancing renewable solutions. Motivated by growing environmental challenges associated with conventional primary goal study shed light on multifaceted strategies facilitate widespread adoption contribute mitigating change. Through an extensive analysis technologies, contributions, frameworks, uncovers critical insights. Our findings reveal how innovations have revolutionized making them more efficient, affordable, scalable. Furthermore, efforts identified new opportunities addressed technical challenges, also assessing societal impacts adoption. Crucially, underscores indispensable role transitions. Governments worldwide play incentivizing development through financial incentives, regulatory mandates, support. Moreover, these policies aim efficiency, conservation, equitable access The results emphasize not only viable solution but opportunity create jobs, enhance security, reduce greenhouse gas emissions. potential future powered within reach, serves as guidepost realizing transformative vision.
