Digital agriculture serves as a pivotal means of ushering in innovative agricultural practices and achieving sustainable development. Although digitalization has received increasing attention, the unbalanced development regional disparities digital are still key obstacles to Based on data 31 provinces China from 2013 2021, this study evaluates level China, further analyzes distribution pattern, spatial characteristics, transition probabilities perspective. The index system is constructed five aspects: infrastructure, talent resources, informatization, digitization production processes, efficiency. Among these, infrastructure resources reflect needed for agriculture; informatization process indicate role development; efficiency goal development, which critical criteria its evaluation. weighted analysis method objective sequential analysis, combines dynamic indicators relationships, used assign weights indicators. In addition, address agriculture, kernel density estimation, Moran’s index, (spatial) Markov chain applied analyze evolution China. findings reveal substantial within particularly Western region, where lags behind. Moreover, offers actionable policy recommendations policymakers strengthen cultivation, well other aspects mitigate differences provide reference emerging countries.

Digital economy is being closely integrated with agricultural development and tapping into its unique potential to alleviate agriculture’s carbon emissions To explore the mechanism of how digital reduce emissions, this paper constructs a systematic evaluation method extend STIRPAT model panel data drawn from 29 provinces (or municipalities autonomous regions) in Chinese mainland 2013–2020. The results show that rural has significant negative influence on CEs, result still valid given robustness tests. Second, alleviation CEs based more higher technological investment zones than lower zones, central eastern regions also have reduction effect. Third, analysis shows green technology change an effective means promote economy’s This not only provide new empirical evidence for understanding nexus between reduction, but give constructive policy implication improve development.

There is a close symbiotic relationship among digital finance, rural and agriculture. The three promote influence each other to jointly drive revitalization agricultural modernization. Using panel data from 30 provinces in China spanning 2015 2021, this paper quantitatively analyzes the dynamic characteristics, spatial patterns, driving mechanisms of agriculture, their relationships through coupling coordination degree model (CCDM) geographically temporally weighted regression (GTWR). study shows that between finance dominated by coordinate quasi relationship. evolution indices diversified, with emergence variety patterns such as continuously declining, fluctuating upward, relatively stable, L-shaped, inverted U-shaped, W-shaped, V-shaped, tilted Z-shaped, M-shaped, its changes exhibit significant variability, agglomeration correlation. mechanism complicated, nature intensity factors are regional time-varying. Except for fiscal self-sufficiency rate, which plays long-term positive promotion role, most exert mixed effects (both promoting negative inhibitory). For reason, it recommended government should change trend management, balancing weak strong interventions. And also accelerate transformation development policies toward policies, scientifically delineate geographical zones, establish alliances, enable leading regions demonstrate exemplary value, while helping assisting those underdeveloped quickly achieve breakthrough areas distinctive advantages. In addition, design digitalization policy portfolio according mechanism, focusing on synergistic key factors.

Agricultural activities markedly influence China’s goals of reaching carbon emission peaks and achieving neutrality. This study explores the mechanisms by which digitalization in agriculture impacts emissions develops a corresponding analytical model. It examines extent agricultural across 31 Chinese provinces from 2013 to 2020. Empirical findings demonstrate that digital practices significantly reduce within sector, exhibiting notable spatial spillover effects. Additionally, green technological innovation environmental regulatory frameworks act as crucial intermediary factors. The efficacy technologies reducing varies regions, showing stronger effects inland areas primarily engaged grain production, compared non-grain-producing regions. results contribute ongoing discussions on pathways for mitigation context rapid transformation agriculture. Furthermore, emphasizes necessity addressing externalities pivotal role regulations emissions, aligning with ecological governance objectives.

Increasing pressure for food security and environmental sustainability has highlighted the need to switch from conventional agricultural methods advanced practices. Digital technologies are considered promising solutions sustainable intensification of production protection. Despite significant promotional efforts initiated in recent years China, adoption rate remains low. The objective this study is gain insight into factors affecting on-farm digital China using a systematic review approach that analyzes 10 relevant studies. Data regarding methodological aspects results extracted. We identify 19 key drivers related socioeconomic, agroecological, technological, institutional, psychological, behavioral factors. There predominance ex-ante studies use stated preference methods. conclude with discussion design policy incentives induce technologies. Additionally, points limitations existing research suggests approaches can be adopted future investigations. This provides meaningful implications development promote transformation agriculture China.
