The
sustainability

we

that

Valorization of Proteinaceous Animal Waste to Amino Acids Reduces Environmental Pollution While Catalyzing Plant Functions in Sustainable Agriculture

Global
wastes
accumulate
at
an
accelerating
rate
especially
food
and
slaughterhouse
waste
constituting
a
major
proportion
owing
to
inefficient
management.
The
high
protein
concentration
of
fish
keratinaceous
byproducts
is
hazardous,
harbouring
pathogens,
emitting
toxins.
Transforming
proteinaceous
into
amino
acids
(AAs)
reduces
bulk
offers
smarter
nutrient
approach
for
agriculture.
However,
this
resource
remains
underutilized
triggering
eco-system
pollution,
diseases
spreading,
climate
change.
Currently,
small
quantities
are
valorized
as
animal
feed,
fertilizer,
in
medical,
biotechnological
sectors,
which
cannot
solve
accumulation
further,
natural
AA
sources
agriculture
less
recognized
meanwhile
researchers
focus
on
synthetic
AAs.
Introducing
various
plant-nutrient
formulas
enriching
with
hydrolysate
has
not
been
broadly
discussed.
With
novel
approach,
using
resources
would
environmental
pollution
while
minimizing
land
degradation
by
fertilizer.
In
review,
we
illustrate
the
potential
benefits
valorizing
through
bioconversion.
More
importantly,
spotlight
biocompatibility
AAs
propose
enrichment,
use
ultimate
product
catalysts
crops.
