ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to investigate the efficacy of mindfulness meditation on sleep quality and negative emotions in patients with stroke concurrent coronary heart disease. Methods was a randomised controlled trial. A total 72 disease were randomly divided into an observation group control group, 36 each group. The received routine treatment plus eszopiclone tablets at dosage 3 mg once daily. addition given Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index used assess status, Self‐Rating Anxiety Scale Depression depression anxiety, Fugl–Meyer Assessment motor function. All participants both groups 6‐week intervention. Results Pairwise comparisons revealed that had better outcomes quality, onset latency, duration, efficiency, disturbances, daytime function scores 6 12 weeks compared ( p < 0.05). After intervention, score improved more significantly (9.22 ± 2.35/6.26 2.47). Additionally, different methods varying effects anxiety scores, between two 0.001). This paper responds to the scholarly call for investigating role of technology consumption in promoting healthy aging—it aims identify public's beliefs about potential virtual reality (VR) well-being older adults. The study utilized a big-data methodology and employed machine learning scrape comments made by social media users on most popular YouTube videos that discuss people's use VR technology. After data cleaning process, was left with 1,917 out 3,952 were then subject analysis through thematic, emotion, sentiment analyses. findings revealed three themes public beliefs: 1) empowerment technology, generational adaptability, learning; 2) ethical implications aging; 3) cognitive physical engagement. emotion analyses indicated general has predominantly positive perception application people. In summary, synthesis results from suggested empower seniors promote mental activity while also highlighting importance maintaining genuine connections standards.

Abstract Background The important roles of well-being as realization one’s true potential for healthy aging have been highlighted by literature the recent decades. Scales Psychological Well-being (SPWB) are an internationally recognized measurement tool psychological well-being. Yet, sound validation German SPWB 18-item version has lacking to date. Therefore, present study aims (1) test psychometric properties in terms factorial validity and (2) determine construct investigating its correlations with psychosocial variables, mental physical health. (3) Sociodemographic characteristics a middle old age population was explored. Methodology Data N = 3,374 participants 45–85 years 10-year follow-up (2017–2022) Gutenberg Health Study (GHS) were analyzed. Descriptive analyses inference statistical performed assess validity. In order properties, item reliability coefficients Confirmatory factor tested proposed theoretical structure. Results Construct established respect sociodemographic, (social support resilient coping), health variables (sleeping problems, depression anxiety symptoms, stress, loneliness, somatic diseases). Analysis rendered theoretically multidimensional structure our sample rather than one Bi-factor models that take method effects positively negatively formulated items into account highly recommended. Conclusions shows comparable previous large-scale studies from other countries. provides indicators aging.

Objective This study aimed to investigate the correlation between mild cognitive impairment and flourishing among Chinese residents. Methods A total of 527 community residents aged ≥18 years were recruited from December 2023 April 2024. Based on results Ascertain Dementia 8-Item Informant Questionnaire (AD8), participants classified into a healthy group ( n = 356) (MCI) 171). General demographic data, including age, gender, height, weight, place residence, education level, marital status, household composition, personal income, occupation, scale (FS) collected for statistical analysis. The analysis was performed using Statistical Product Service Solutions software. Chi-square test used compare differences groups, while Kendall’s multivariate logistic regression applied assess relationship MCI. Results Comparisons MCI groups showed that FS scores in significantly higher than those p < 0.01). revealed score AD8 negatively correlated with r −0.237, Multivariate indicated age [odds ratio (OR) 1.451, 95% confidence interval (CI; 1.107–1.902), 0.007], residence [OR 5.523, CI (3.572–8.539), 0.001], 0.421, 95%CI (0.311–0.569), 0.001] Conclusion Flourishing levels are MCI, associated lower risk suggests may serve as protective factor against decline. In modern human societies, social interactions and pro-social behaviours are associated with better individual collective health, reduced mortality, increased longevity. Conversely, isolation is a predictor of shorter lifespan. The biological processes through which sociality affects the ageing process, as well healthspan lifespan, still poorly understood. Unveiling physiological, neurological, genomic, epigenomic, evolutionary mechanisms underlying association between longevity may open new perspectives to understand how lifespan determined in broader socio/evolutionary outlook. Here we summarize evidence showing dynamics can shape evolution life history traits physiological genetic directly or indirectly related We start by reviewing theories that incorporate into their model.
