There is a lack of analysis and prediction the disease burden Alzheimer's other dementias (ADOD) in Asia. This study aims to explore impact ADOD on Asian region during period from 1990 2021. Data Asia 2021 were collected Global Burden Disease (GBD) Study We analyzed number age-standardized rates (ASRs) incidence, prevalence, mortality, disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) Joinpoint regression was performed, average annual percent changes (AAPCs) calculated evaluate trends this period. Subsequently, an auto - regressive integrated moving (ARIMA) model conducted assess next 30 years, aiming report epidemiology According GBD database 2021, deaths, DALYs, prevalence increased by 297.34 %, 249.54 244.73 250.44 % The ASRs death, DALYs both males females, which consistently over period, showed that all females higher than those During Qatar United Arab Emirates witnessed greatest prevalence. Afghanistan China had highest mortality rate (ASMR) It worth noting high fasting blood glucose top risk factor for onset ADOD. Females are more susceptible body-mass index (BMI), while likely be affected smoking. ARIMA model, will continue show upward trend years. should pay attention issue population aging, attach importance intervention measures targeting factors ADOD, formulate action plans address rising incidence

Abstract Vascular cognitive impairment (VCI) is a leading cause of age-related decline, driven by cerebrovascular dysfunction and cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Emerging evidence suggests that cerebromicrovascular endothelial senescence plays an important role in the pathogenesis VCI promoting blood flow dysregulation, neurovascular uncoupling, blood–brain barrier (BBB) disruption, development microhemorrhages (CMHs). This review explores concept as continuum vascular aging, linking macrovascular atherosclerosis with microvascular dysfunction. It examines mechanisms which drives pathology highlights impact cardiovascular risk factors accelerating these processes. We examine preclinical clinical studies provide compelling atherosclerosis-induced exacerbates impairment. In particular, findings suggest targeting senescent cells through senolytic therapy can restore function improve outcomes experimental models atherosclerosis. Given growing recognition therapeutic target, further research warranted to explore novel interventions such senolytics, anti-inflammatory agents, metabolic modulators. The circulating biomarkers (e.g., senescence-associated secretory phenotype [SASP] components endothelial-derived extracellular vesicles) could enable early detection stratification individuals at high for VCI. Additionally, lifestyle modifications, including Mediterranean diet, hold promise delaying mitigating decline. conclusion, key mechanistic link between Addressing aging modifiable factor targeted offers promising strategy reducing burden preserving populations.

Vitamin D plays a crucial role in the regulation of immune system, with immunomodulatory effects that are key prevention colorectal cancer (CRC). Over past decades, research has shown this steroid hormone impacts much more than bone health, significantly influencing responses. enhances organ functions such as spleen and lymph nodes, boosts T-cell activity, which is essential defending body against tumors. Additionally, vitamin mitigates inflammatory responses closely linked to development, reducing inflammation contributes CRC. It acts via receptors (VDRs) expressed on cells, modulating Adequate levels influence gene expression related cell proliferation, inhibiting tumor development. also activates mechanisms suppress survival, migration, metastasis. Low have been associated an increased risk CRC, deficiency correlating higher disease incidence. Lifestyle factors, diet high red meat calories but low fiber, fruits, vegetables, well physical inactivity, contribute CRC risk. Insufficient calcium intake occurrence poorer clinical outcomes. Maintaining optimal adequate dietary preventing improving patient prognosis. This review explores summarizes findings from randomized trials assessing supplementation

Background Diet plays an important role in the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and dementia. Adherence to Mediterranean diet is regarded as one way reduce risk. Fish a component diet. Participant variables change with time, resulting “regression dilution”. Objective The objective investigate follow-up period after measurement dietary fish intake AD Methods A recent meta-analysis prospective cohort studies used examine this effect for incidence dementia AD. Results For seven mean periods from ten years, regression fit data relative (RR) = 0.19 + (0.087 × Follow up [years], r 0.84, adjusted 2 0.66, p 0.009). However, when age participants was added analysis, became non-significant. five 3.9 9.8 RR 0.11 (0.095 follow [years]), 0.93, 0.87, 0.02). shortest are 40% greater than standard suggests 70% Conclusions Prospective health outcomes should reassess every few years. Meta-analyses consider during up.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative characterized by cognitive decline, memory loss, and behavioural changes. While genetic predispositions pathological processes have been the traditional focus, this review highlights fundamental role of environmental factors, particularly nutrition, within exposome framework in modulating risk progression AD. The exposome, which includes totality exposures an individual's lifetime, provides comprehensive approach to understanding complex aetiology In review, we explore impact dietary factors cyclic nucleotide pathways (cAMP/cGMP) on AD, emphasizing potential interventions as therapeutic strategies. We investigate key aspects how nutrition affects accumulation β-amyloid, aggregation tau proteins, neuroinflammation. also examine specific nutrients performance Additionally, discuss nutraceuticals with anti-phosphodiesterase activity various animal models AD (such 5xFAD, 3xTg-AD, Tg2576, APP/PS1 mice) demonstrating effects onset progression.

Vitamin D is known to have a potential impact on cognitive function and mental health. This study aims assess the association between dietary vitamin intake performance, as well depression, in an elderly U.S. population. Data from National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2013-2014 were analyzed. A total of 1,344 participants categorized into three tertiles based their (D2 + D3). Cognitive was measured using Consortium Establish Registry for Alzheimer's Disease (CERAD) test, Digit Symbol Substitution Test (DSST), Animal Fluency Test, while depression assessed through Patient Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9). Adjustments made confounding variables, including age, sex, race, education, physical activity level, other factors. After adjustment confounders, individuals 3rd tertile (≥4.9 mcg/day) had significantly reduced odds low performance CERAD test (OR: 0.77, 95% CI: 0.57-0.98; p = 0.031) 0.63, 0.49-0.85; 0.013) compared 1st (≤2.4 mcg/day). Similarly, lower (PHQ-9 score > 4) after 0.68, 0.48-0.99; 0.046). Our findings suggest that associated with improved depressive symptoms individuals. However, further longitudinal studies are needed establish causality explore underlying mechanisms.
