Abstract Immersive learning technologies such as virtual reality have long been deemed the next generation of digital environments. There is a limited number studies addressing how immersive can be designed, applied, and studied in collaborative settings. This paper presents systematic review empirical reporting on use within educational professional 11 grouped coded textual narrative synthesis, outlining pedagogical concepts behind design, well design environments activities which technology employed. The results suggest that currently conceptualised shared experience an immersive, virtually mediated space, where there goal/problem learners must attend to collaboratively. conceptualisation implies need technologies, environments, support participation social interaction, fostering processes. Based outlined conceptualisation, we present series recommendations for designing reality. concludes creates practice- reflection perceived engaging, without risk interfering with actual practices. Current designs however struggle usability, realism, facilitating interaction. further identifies future research into what happens reality, rather than only looking at post-virtual evaluations.

“Immersive technology” is a broad and evolving term that encompasses various kinds of technologies viewpoints, has applications in fields, such as education, healthcare, entertainment, the arts, engineering. This research paper aims to compare effectiveness two teaching methods, namely conventional method (using PowerPoint slides), immersive technology (initiating mixed reality with HoloLens 2 device). The experiment involved groups students, aged between 19 52 years-of-age, who received different types instruction: first group viewed slide an image human muscular system, second 3D hologram body displayed same muscle slide. researchers wanted examine if devices could improve students’ cognitive abilities explore age participants had any impact on instruction method. main findings this study are used technology, Microsoft device, was more suitable for younger participants, traditional slides, appropriate older students. While provides some valuable insights into factors influence student performance anatomy tests, it limitations should be considered.

Abstract By adopting a situated and interactional approach, we explore students’ immersive VR experiences as resources for collaborative meaning making learning. We draw on data from project in which teachers researchers co-developed learning design upper secondary students involving technology. In this design, viewed cinematic film where they encountered different people telling personal stories about exclusion discrimination, followed by reflective group dialogues with their teacher environment. Through detailed interaction analysis of these dialogues, identify four dimensions that characterize making: (1) the feeling taking part conversations, (2) attending to bodily expressions others, (3) own responses, (4) guidance. discuss how findings our contribute field CSCL, also have implications instructional work includes use environments.

The concept of embodiment has been central to the design extended reality (XR) technologies and is one keys immersive learning. However, there still a need for further conceptual frameworks aid developers, practitioners, educators in comprehending various facets their impact on This gap becomes apparent when examining revised taxonomy that includes layers interactive learning experiences digital technologies. In this context, chapter aims address deficiency by presenting case focused art application leveraging XR technology. By integrating sensorimotor information based kinetic movements, enrich tactile painting experience within liberal arts education. Developed Hololens2, incorporates elements such as avatars, narratives, multi-sensory features, tools creating artifacts. Throughout chapter, authors offer insights into considerations taken during interface interaction phases, particularly emphasizing promotion engagement.

This transmitting knowledge causes difficulties for students, especially in context three-dimensional imaging organ structures, as a consequence translates into with imagining them. Even despite rapid uptake dissemination provided by online materials, including courses webinars, there is clear need learning programs featuring first-hand immersive experiences tailored suit individual study paces. In this paper, we present an approach enhance classical program combining multi-modality data representing them Mixed Reality (MR)-based environment. advantages proposed have been proven conducted investigation relationship between atrial anatomy, its electrophysiological characteristics, resulting P wave morphology on electrocardiogram (ECG). Another part paper focuses role sinoatrial node ECG formation, while MR-based visualization combined micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) non-invasive CineECG demonstrates educational application these advanced technologies cardiac correlations.
