Abstract
There
is
an
urgent
demand
for
substantial
reforms
in
the
governance
of
coastal
regions.
Recent
research
advocates
a
transformative
shift
European
system
towards
landscape
approach.
This
perspective,
informed
by
narrative
literature
review
on
and
governance,
explores
potential
value
drawing
Council
Europe
Landscape
Convention.
Our
results,
presented
form
manifesto,
underscore
need
to
move
beyond
political
administrative
boundaries
address
all
landscapes
as
socio-ecological
systems.
