This
chapter
is
based
on
the
fact
that
innovation
in
education
has
been
subject
of
extensive
studies
for

two
decades,
thus
bringing

surface
need
diversify

Purpose
The
proliferation
of
industry
platforms
has
disrupted
several
industries.
Firms
adopting
a
platform
business
model
have
experienced
substantial
expansion
in
size
and
scale,
positioning
themselves
as
the
foremost
valuable
entities
market
capitalization.
Over
past
two
decades,
there
been
body
literature
dedicated
to
platforms,
different
streams
research
emerged.
Despite
considerable
efforts
significant
progress
made
recent
years
toward
comprehensive
understanding
is
still
room
for
further
harnessing
field’s
diversity.
As
result,
aim
this
article
examine
structure,
identify
concerns
provide
suggestions
future
research,
thereby
enhancing
overall
platforms.
Design/methodology/approach
We
conducted
thorough
examination
458
articles
on
topic
using
bibliometric
methods
systematic
review
techniques.
Findings
Through
co-citation
analysis,
we
identified
five
distinct
clusters
rooted
various
bodies
literature:
two-sided
markets,
digital
innovation
networks.
Furthermore,
these
revealed
three
key
areas
that
demand
consideration:
(1)
terminologies,
(2)
classifications
(3)
perspectives.
Originality/value
While
previous
reviews
provided
insights
into
none
explored
structure
field
so
far.
Consequently,
first
step
advancing
field,
uncover
literature,
identifying
major
concern.

Abstract
This
study
explores
the
critical
role
of
boundary
objects
in
context
people-centred
smart
cities,
a
new
paradigm
urban
development
that
emphasises
citizen
participation
planning
and
decision-making.

objects—artefacts,
documents,
or
concepts
facilitate
communication
collaboration
across
different
knowledge
domains—are
increasingly
recognized
as
essential
tools
complex,
multi-stakeholder
environment

extensive
research
on
organizational
contexts,

underexplored.
