Osteoporosis is a systemic disease that occurs in bone and characterized by reduced mass simultaneous damage to structure. commonly the elderly because of hormonal mechanism plays huge role density. Micronutrients such as calcium vitamin D have long been recognized important maintaining Meanwhile, effect macronutrient intake on density remains unclear. Only few studies analyzed correlation between intakes mineral (BMD) elderly. Moreover, primary data regarding has not found Indonesia. This study (carbohydrate, protein, lipid) BMD research an observational analytical with cross-sectional design. Thirty-eight women who met inclusion criteria underwent interview 3 x 24-hour food recall, SQ-FFQ, examination using DXA method. Bivariate analysis Pearson Spearman tests was then carried out. Carbohydrate significant negative (p= 0.008), while correlations both lipid protein are insignificant (p> 0.05). There carbohydrate On other hand, there no

Osteoporosis is a degenerative bone disease that causes the weakening of structure. Since structure dynamic throughout person’s lifespan, bones are under constant growth and destruction in process known as turnover or remodeling. involves disruption this growth/destruction equilibrium towards destructive side. An increase leads to lower density therefore greater risk fracture injury higher severity. Bone markers serve indicators turnover. These split into two groups: formation (building up) resorption (breaking down) markers. Using biochemical techniques assays, these can be measured monitor activity well determine treatment options efficacy based on activity. The use biomarkers osteoporosis pave way for their other diseases such cancer.

Osteoporosis, the most common bone disorder, profoundly impacts women’s health, especially during postmenopausal phases. Characterised by diminished mineral density (BMD), it increases risk of fractures, affecting mobility, quality life, and potentially mortality. The present review analyses intricate interactions among physiological alterations, diseases, medications that lead to reduction in women. It underscores importance gynaecologists prevention, diagnosis, management osteoporosis via early assessment, suitable hormone treatment, lifestyle modifications. Essential considerations encompass categorisation into primary (age-related) secondary (attributable diseases or pharmacological treatments) types, with particular emphasis on predisposing conditions such as premature menopause, deficits, cancer therapies. significance diagnostic instruments DXA novel methodologies like trabecular score quantitative ultrasonography is emphasised for precise evaluation surveillance. also addresses nutritional methods, physical exercise, pharmaceutical interventions, including replacement therapy (HRT), selective oestrogen receptor modulators (SERMs), other anti-resorptive drugs, preserve health. This highlights important role maintaining promoting a proactive strategy avert osteoporosis-related complications enhance long-term results.
