Digital health interventions (DHIs) hold promise for improving the reach of mental care adolescents, particularly those from under-resourced communities who may face significant barriers to accessing in-person care. Yet, low engagement and uptake have challenged DHIs’ potency. Human-centered design (HCD) integrates end-users (i.e., future users DHI) into iterative processes, thereby prioritizing their needs preferences. Clinical scientists are increasingly embracing HCD, but often lack expertise in how apply these methods practice. We provide a template creating session interview guide assessment, which is first phase our HCD process DHI dysregulated eating adolescents. To create guide, we conducted “needs assessment” within team identify important topic areas that required feedback adolescents (“investigate”). then consolidated ideas structured domains through brainstorming (“ideate”), resulted an initial draft (“prototype”). As digital mental health interventions (DMHIs) proliferate, there is a growing need to understand the complexities of moving these tools from concept and design service-ready products. We highlight five case studies center that specializes in evaluation illustrate pragmatic approaches development interventions, make transparent some key decision points researchers encounter along design-to-product pipeline. Abstract Purpose Perfectionism is a transdiagnostic risk factor for eating disorders. Treating perfectionism can reduce symptoms of No research has examined an indicated prevention trial using internet-based Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (ICBT-P) in adolescent girls at elevated Our aim was to conduct preliminary feasibility co-designed ICBT-P intervention. It hypothesised that higher proportion participants the condition would achieve reliable and clinically significant change on perfectionism, disorders, anxiety depression, compared waitlist control. Methods Twenty-one with disorders ( M age = 16.14 years) were randomised 4-week online program or Qualitative surveys used gain participant perspectives. Results The had classified as recovered anxiety, findings 100% found helpful. Conclusion results indicate feasible acceptable disorder symptoms. Future required examine outcomes controlled trial. Level evidence III: Evidence obtained from well-designed cohort case–control analytic studies. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment for disorders characterized by recurrent binge eating. Yet, access to specialized like DBT remains limited. To increase the accessibility of DBT, we developed a skills training app (Resilience: eDBT) management eating disorder (ED) symptoms. This paper delineates developmental process Resilience and tests its usability.

Abstract Background Co-production is increasingly used in mental health research and clinical settings. Maze Out a digital game co-produced by clinicians, patients with eating disorders (EDs), an art director lived experience EDs, game-developing company. based on everyday challenges when suffering from EDs currently being evaluated as supplement tool treatment. Several studies co-producing interventions focus design effectiveness, but the experiences of those involved co-production process remain unexplored. An in-depth exploration stakeholders’ offers valuable insights into impact different groups generates crucial knowledge for successful implementation. Objectives This study explored meaning that patients, designers attributed to their participation Out. The objectives were determine (1) how stakeholders experienced collaboration Out.; (2) what extent developing followed Cahn’s principles equality, diversity, accessibility, reciprocity. Methods Five (two two designer) who participated completed semi-structured interviews. Two one clinician’s diaries supplemented Reflexive thematic analysis was interpret data. Results results this highlight importance building common language between other professionals new forms treatment interventions. A recommendation researchers clinicians implement future principles: reciprocity, serve strong foundation co-production. In study, three partially four about identified: accessibility. When applied ED context, these provided insights, enriching practice-based knowledge, using applicable practice, demonstrating role fostering effective processes.
