Metabolic-Associated Fatty Liver Disease (MAFLD) is a clinical-pathological scenario that occurs due to the accumulation of triglycerides in hepatocytes which considered significant cause liver conditions and contributes an increased risk death worldwide. Even though possible causes MAFLD can involve interaction genetics, hormones, nutrition, lifestyle (diet sedentary lifestyle) most influential factor developing this condition. Polyphenols comprise many natural chemical compounds be helpful managing metabolic diseases. Therefore, aim review was investigate impact oxidative stress, inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction, role polyphenols MAFLD. Some reverse part damage related or among them are anthocyanin, baicalin, catechin, curcumin, chlorogenic acid, didymin, epigallocatechin-3-gallate, luteolin, mangiferin, puerarin, punicalagin, resveratrol, silymarin. These have actions reducing plasma enzymes, body mass index, waist circumference, adipose visceral indices, lipids, glycated hemoglobin, insulin resistance, HOMA index. They also reduce nuclear factor-KB (NF-KB), interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), blood pressure, fat content, steatosis fibrosis. On other hand, they improve HDL-c, adiponectin levels, fibrogenesis markers. results show promising prevention treatment

The gut microbiota plays a pivotal role in human metabolic health by influencing immune responses, digestion, and homeostasis. Recent research highlights the intricate interactions between RNA, especially non-coding RNAs, regulating processes. Dysbiosis of has been linked to disorders such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) heart disease. Microbial metabolites, including short-chain acids (SCFAs), modulate RNA expression, lipid metabolism, glucose regulation, inflammatory responses. Additionally, microRNAs (miRNAs) long RNAs (lncRNAs) serve critical regulators these processes, with emerging evidence showing that gut-derived metabolites affect post-transcriptional gene regulation. This review synthesizes current understanding microbiota-RNA axis its diseases. By exploring molecular mechanisms, particularly how microbiota-derived signals pathways, underscores potential targeting this for therapeutic interventions. Furthermore, it examines dysbiosis leads epigenetic changes m6A methylation, contributing pathogenesis. These insights offer new perspective on prevention treatment diseases, applications personalized medicine.

Abstract The gastrointestinal tract plays a vital role in the occurrence and treatment of metabolic diseases. Recent studies have convincingly demonstrated bidirectional axis communication between gut islets, enabling to influence glucose metabolism energy homeostasis animals strongly. ‘gut–islet axis’ is an essential endocrine signal that regulates islet function through dialogue intestinal microecology metabolism. discovery glucagon‐like peptide‐1 (GLP‐1), gastric inhibitory peptide (GIP) other hormones has initially set up bridge cells. However, factors remains largely unknown, such as microbiota integrity barrier. Although primarily resides affect function, they also extra‐intestinal organs by absorbing transferring metabolites derived from microorganisms. As result this transfer, islets may be continuously exposed gut‐derived components. Changes composition can damage barrier varying degrees, resulting increased permeability bacteria their derivatives. All these changes contribute severe disturbance critical pathways peripheral tissues organs. In review, we outlined different gut–islet signalling mechanisms associated with summarized latest progress complex molecules microbiota. addition, will discuss impact renin–angiotensin system (RAS) on various components regulate homeostasis. This work indicates therapeutic approaches aiming restore microbial homeostasis, probiotics faecal transplantation (FMT), shown great potential improving outcomes, enhancing patient prognosis slowing down disease progression. Future research should further uncover molecular links explore individualized strategies, which provide innovative perspective approach for diagnosis

The interplay between immune cells and metabolic associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is a critical research frontier, bridging immunology hepatology. bibliometric findings can guide future funding priorities in the field by highlighting key areas of focus potential therapeutic targets. To analyze literature on MAFLD, identifying trends hotspots. A systematic search Web Science Core Collection from January 1, 2004 to May 20, 2024, yielded 1936 articles MAFLD. Key themes included oxidative stress, syndrome, fibrosis, role Kupffer cells. Bioinformatics identified interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor signal transducer activator transcription 3 central proteins responses inflammation, suggesting targets Clinically, these hub genes play pivotal roles pathogenesis For instance, targeting signaling pathway could reduce while modulating interleukin-6 expression may improve function, offering new strategies MAFLD therapy. Abstract Background This study aimed to analyze the tongue image features and oral microbial markers in different TCM syndromes related metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Methods involved 34 healthy volunteers 66 MASLD patients [36 with Dampness-Heat (DH) 30 Qi-Deficiency (QD) syndrome]. Oral microbiome analysis was conducted through 16S rRNA sequencing. Tongue feature extraction used Uncertainty Augmented Context Attention Network (UACANet), while syndrome classification performed using five machine learning methods based on microbiota. Results Significant differences color, coating, microbiota were noted between DH band QD patients. exhibited a red-crimson color greasy coating enriched Streptococcus Rothia tongue. In contrast, displayed pale higher abundances of Neisseria, Fusobacterium, Porphyromonas Haemophilus. Combining characteristics differentiated an AUC 0.939 accuracy 85%. Conclusion suggests that are metabolism, possess distinct biomarkers, supporting classification.
