Most mental disorders have their onset in adolescence. Preventive interventions during this period are important; however, help-seeking behavior is generally poor age group resulting low treatment rates. Internet expected to be an effective, low-threshold, and scalable approach overcome barriers help-seeking, particularly for individuals experiencing subclinical symptoms. Internet-delivered indicated prevention seems promising as it targets with minimal symptoms of who might need care but not yet. Previous prevention-approaches mainly targeted specific risk-syndromes. However, contradicts the increasing recognition emerging psychopathology a complex system characterized by co-occurrence rapid shifts cutting across diagnostic categories. Therefore, study will investigate efficacy, mediators, moderators, core symptomatic changes transdiagnostic program (EMPATIA program) adolescents.

Background: Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) in youth commonly co-occurs with other affective disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression). Exposure and response prevention (ERP) is the front-line treatment for OCD but may require significant adaptation to treat co-occurring symptoms or complex comorbidity patterns. Preliminary evidence suggests that Unified Protocols Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders Children Adolescents (UP-C/A) are effective reducing symptoms. Still, it not yet known if UP-C/A comparably as they anxiety depression, which there most robust empirical support. Methods: This study compared trajectories OCD, depression symptom change among 388 who received (M = 15 sessions) at a university-based research clinic. We also examined whether (n 60) without 328) an diagnosis demonstrated comparable improvements transdiagnostic targets (i.e., sensitivity, cognitive flexibility, distress tolerance). Results: improved slower rate than during first half second treatment. Youth exhibited tolerance across course. Conclusions: Findings support efficacy suggest initiating exposure earlier course confer additional benefits.

Abstract It can be challenging to assign patients the appropriate intervention programs, as risk and protective factors for developing emotional disorders are multiple shared across disorders. This study aimed provide a theoretical empirical approach identify categorise adolescents into different levels of severity. The symptoms was assessed in 1425 Spanish ( M = 14.34, SD 1.76; 59.9% women). Latent Profile Analysis (LPA) conducted subgroups based on their symptom severity, risk, resilience factors. Results revealed four profiles: at low (emotionally healthy), moderate (for selective interventions), high indicated severe clinical referral). Older age especially female gender were predictors higher clusters, there differences psychopathology health-related quality life clusters.
