Introduction Outcome research in eating disorders (EDs) is commonly focused on psychopathological dysfunction. However, Ryff’s model of psychological well-being (PWB) has shown promising—yet preliminary—results with ED patients. Additionally, despite substantial evidence highlighting the association between therapeutic alliance and treatment outcome, findings samples remain unclear. The present study aimed at exploring direct effect PWB dimensions early patients’ individual responses, as well mediating role played by relationship overall pre-post symptom change. Methods A sample N = 165 patients assigned female birth, who were receiving a residential program, completed Psychological Well-Being Scale intake Working Alliance Inventory after first four psychotherapy sessions. Research into the risk of anorexia nervosa (AN) has examined twin pairs to further understanding contributions genetics, trait inheritance, and environmental factors eating disorder (ED) development. Emerging adulthood represents a critical stage characterized by heightened risks for anxiety, depression, and somatization symptoms development. Research has shown that difficulties in emotional identification, expression, processing, as well dysfunctional parenting styles, may exacerbate emerging adults.
